Catching Up On Sonic (feat. FORGE!)

- It's been a while since I went over Sonic stuff!! And..... a while since content in general. In this video, join Forge and I as we go over the most recent developments when it comes to Sonic games, comics, movies, and shows!
I'd be sad if the fan series got scrapped or cancelled because that was the reason I found your channel in the first place when I was young. So in short; stick with the long run until it gets resolved. But I get that it needs time so I'll wait for as long as I can.
Part of the reason why SFTL is still one of my favorite series on here is because we grew up with it. It started as nothing more than a fun, passion project when you- as you said- were younger. It should, above all, stay that way. Please don’t look for perfectionism in plot and graphics and sound now because, to me, that was never the point of the series. It was about telling a fun story because we love Sonic. (And wanting to give Silver a solid main character story and see all of our favorite ships come together LOL) Obviously take your time in telling the story, but please know that the PROGRESS of seeing the series get better with each IS what’s the best part about it. Don’t give up on it. Finish what you started. I think you will find satisfaction in it because it’s what a lot of us here grew with. It’ll be amazing to see it finished.
I think that audio/drama idea is good, but keep that on the back burner as a possible project for after the original series is done.
It’s totally understandable. I’ve experienced lack of motivation so many times. Secret for the Lost is one of my favorite Sonic fan series on RUclips. It can feel all over the place at times, but the story is fascinating and love seeing all these characters. It’s also really hard to find a story that has Silver as the main character. I do want to see it continued, but I also want you guys to have fun doing it.
I do enjoy like IDW more than Archie. I honestly read more of Ian’s work with the latter. At least he tried to make it feel more akin to the games. Evan Stanley took over as IDW’s head writer after the Metal Virus, and I think she has done a great job, as well as the other writers who contribute. So much Shadow love… yeah that’s enough to sum up the hype.
I’m going to save some time and say I love every line of dialogue Forge had. That dude is the best! 😂

I'd say fix what you can, but all in all stick to your guns and see it through to the end, it's the reason I subscribed to you and I hate seeing good projects get dropped with no conclusion.

season 3 of prime is definitely the best. definitely get caught up on the comics, surge and kit's story and scrapnik island is worth it.

I love Search for the Lost, and Cyberverse (Galleom was the perfect villain, I hate his guts and simultaneously love him for the absolute jerk he is). Anyway, both series have hilarious and awesome scenes I would've never dreamed possible. You live up to your channel's name. You are very creative, and are more active with your ideas than me. Also, your Sonic OC video helped the Sonic art style come very naturally to me, so thank you. God bless you!

I don't think 9 turning is contrived. Shadow warned sonic about him but he couldn't look past the fact he saw tails in 9. And he did help sonic pretty far in the series and ended up getting captured because he wanted to help him. Eventually he turned it around but I think 9 betraying sonic made perfect sense given sonic's own guilt and shortsited goal made him a little selfish. When they made it to ghost hill 9 is a little repulsed that sonic thinks that him and tails are alike. It's not perfect but when it has moments like that it really shines. I just wish they gave the other characters the same treatment nine, sonic, and shadow got because I think each of then have something their. Or at least the characters they wanted to focus on.

I've enjoyed the first and second Sonic movies and I'm REALLY hyped for the third one! I've been planning to have it be the first movie in my life that I will watch in a theater twice instead of once! When it comes to the Chaos Council, I've been thinking up this joke that the member who looks the most like the real Eggman (Mr Dr. Eggman) may have been wearing an "Ace Ventura Pet Detective" cosplay wig on head all the time! lol😂 I think that they put Iblis into the Knuckles show during that "Flames of Disaster" episode (and showed a Maddie wearing a white cap and an auqua green shirt in episode 1) to prepare us for:
1. What game the 4th or 5th movie will likely be a loose adaption of,
2. The fact that Silver the hedgehog can be included into the movie universe, and
3. How they can keep Princess Elise out of it,
Sonic 06 is on the list of which Sonic games SEGA is allowing Paramount to adapt copyrighted source material from into the movies.
I've already done a pre-order for the Switch version of the SXSG game at Microplay because of the bonuses and because I don't have any of the other modern cosoles, and I don't have a gaming PC yet. I'll get the Digital Deluxe stuff when it later becomes available to be sold seperately as DLC for the physical copies. Good that it's only be a few more weeks until that game releases!

Honestly it's funny in 2020's everything seems worse...EXCEPT FOR SONIC. Seriously Sonic has so many awesome and ambitious projects right now. Plus SEGA again cares about stories, characters AND ACTUALLY REMEMBERS THE LORE OF SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG! Sonic is in the best era since forever...AND I'M ALL FOR IT! Can't wait for Sonic X Shadow Generations AND ESPECIALLY FOR SONIC 3!!!

Umm, I think most people don't like sonics characterization in idw and prime, and by the way, the shows director confirmed to be canon, which I don't like it canon, no offense.

I forgot to mention, I like the idea of an audio book with SFTL! The heartfelt conversation between Forge and Tikal is gonna be ASMR.
Also, its apparently been leaked the Sonic 4 is ALREADY in the works! And Amy and Metal are gonna play big parts in from what they saying.

4:19 Only bad take. I don't know how you could enjoy Ian's writing in the vastly watered down world of IDW, but not like him in Archie where he is at his best. He had the most freedom in Archie. All the weird and disconnected aspects of archie he made actually cool. The Sonic Universe Comic alone clears IDW with all its character interactions and world building, which IDW lacks. I also still like IDW as well, I just think Archie even with its ugly spots, is still superior.
