What a tremendously good movie! The whole cast is great, but especially the lead Shira Haas (Ariella). Very moving storyline. Beautifully filmed.
I was sexually abused when I was 6 until I was 8. My dad died when I was just 3. I wish I had a father that could protect me.some kids in today's generation seem to be careless. They don't listen to their parents. They get annoyed being scolded. I wish there's a father that could give punishments when I did something bad. Someone who corrects me when I'm wrong. But I don't have. I couldn't even protect myself. 😔 I was just 6.

An excellent movie with a message to parents and the children. This movie teaches the elders how to behave with adolescents, and adolescents should behave properly with their families; running away will get them into more trouble. They should know the outside world is not as good as they think.
The Dad and Daughter had a little something in common...they both were hurting inside and I'm so happy the dad didn't give up her looking for her and apologize and I'm happy she forgave him!!.. this is a great Movie 🍿🎥❤️🙏🥰

This young woman is so broken, scared, confused, self-loathing she wants to be sexually assaulted bcuz her father has made that the "worst possible thing." Instead of strengthening her by punishing her he has destroyed her joy and hope for adulthood.
He has weakened her, not strengthened her.
Excellent portrayal of the difficulty of knowing how to raise a child.
This movie reminds me of "Leaving Las Vegas," bcuz the woman is punishing herself, exposing herself to brutalization, while she is trying to find someone, anyone, to validate the better part of her Self. But, she cannot save anyone, except herself.
Great movie.
I can relate to the protagonist. After being raped as a child I felt so much self-hatred because I never tried to stop him. I tried to put myself in vulnerable situations where I could be abused or sexually assaulted and I never tried to stop anything (at least not when it was happening) because I felt that I deserved it and that is all that I am worthy of. Each incident leads to shame and guilt again. Self-hatred and shame are so powerful that it can cause us to internally destroy ourselves.

I actually am not out of the self-destructive state but for now, I have it controlled and I am currently in therapy and have 3 incredible people in my life. Things are not very good but better than it ever was, so I am hopeful!

Shira Haas who played the daughter Ariella should get an award for her superb and deeply human acting in this. This movie went to deep places that most movies do not even reach. It was not corny or sentimental in anyway. The character Ben was a beautiful soul in this movie and you hope that someday Ariella and him will stay connected. This movie was better than most American movies I have seen and I say this as an American.

I’m so happy I saw this. The father & daughter actors were amazing. Especially ally her. All parents should watch this. Both kids & parents need to see the other as human. With flaws pain memories good or bad. Life that shapes us to who we are. It’s not just a parent. They are men and woman. Humans. Just like kids. Family dynamics need to SEE each other as that in order to understand each other. Neither is perfect and all can change. Brilliant movie. Just brilliant.

Instead of educating her, her father taught her how to hate and punish herself when she makes a mistake.
What a rollercoaster of emotions, which I can relate to unfortunately! Both my parents were Corporals in the Army & I was brought up in a very strict household I was also a only child so I felt I had nobody who I could rely on just to be there for me. This is a must watch especially if your the parent being strict & mentally abusing your child, it shoes you exactly what can happen! Very Powerful movie & the Daughter was fabulous in her part.. I’m 52 now & it did all change when I was in my 20’s they realised it was them who caused my Clinical Depression… it was too late by then & still take Antidepressants still today & I chose not to be a mum because I was scared they would turn out like me…

My mom was diagnosed bipolar a couple years ago in her 60's. She has since apologised for making my childhood a living hell and now wants the relationship she should have cultivated then. One she will never have as I can't talk to or think about her without reliving a decade and a half of trauma I've been working to let go in the decade and a half since.
I commend you choice and have chosen to do the same. I've said for years, "My trauma dies with me."
The sad part is how the actions if others still effect our lives and choices long after the abuse has ended. In this case robbing us both of one of the most beautiful and fulfilling experiences in human existence, the very reason for that existence.
When I watch horror anthologies like Paranormal Activity and Insidious I can relate on a level few can, as the demons can be seen as an allegory for abuse and generational trauma passed down through the generations just like the demons in the story until one person decides to break the cycle, usually through self sacrifice.

Movie with good lesson.. parents should not be so weird with their children.. parents feel insecure that's why they always refuse us not to go anywhere without their presence but bcz of over restrictions some children becomes so dependent and dnt know how to dealt with different circumstances ...so over restrictions and giving punishment all the time is not good enough...

Captivating movie. Ive watched American Pie just before this ffs, and this somehow popped up in my recommended, ok lets see whats this is about, expecting to shut it off after 10mins, but i got so hooked, didnt even realise how time flew by and the movie ended. Thats a sign of a great movie if you ask me :) Props to the music guys, fantastic, also the whole tone of the movie, so somber, somehow surreal, cant describe it. And the actors ofc :) But one thing came up to me watching it - why none of the people she met asked a simple "are you in trouble, are you ok, can i help you somehow". Like, come on, she clearly goes through some stuff, you can tell after being with her for 2 mins.
It is a representation of the real world.
When messed up teen girls are in trouble, there is very rarely any good samaritans out there to save her.
Mostly the girl will attract the attention of those who will take advantage of her and exploit her.
This, I should know, only too well 😢

A very very good to learn movie for strict parents those who are not trying to understand the mind of kids
real good movie, touching on how the father felt whole of life on his guilty that's why he teach his daughter to accept her guility because he had ever done wrong same before and feel guilty all of his life. Daughter part and father part very interesting. The actress who plays on daughter's role should be nominated for actress's award or if she received the award from this film

Hi i am from the Philippines and i watched the movie "I LOVE IT" and it touches my heart for the lesson it wanna show to, Applause to all the characters specially Ariella all of you did a great job, Even i cannot understand your language but there is a English translator .
You will feel the love of a parents ( GOIRA) towards his daughter Ariella, even though how they messed up ...the only thing parents wanted to you children out there is learned and be responsible for all your actions....punishments made only for you to know the circumstances you made after your actions

Poor Ariella, just wanted to feel better for all the pain she felt she caused. So she went around trying to destroy herself. This is why shaming your children to an extreme can work against you as someone who loves them. Be kind. Be loving.
She's a stubborn, egoistic, and had a bad attitufe to begin with. That's why her father is trying to be strict with her. But the stupid mom knows nothing of good parenting. Your children won't take u seriously if u won't show them the gravity of the consequences of their mistake. Spoiled kids grow up to be bad parents, or worse, criminals.
Fathers need to understand daughters' feelings. As same as Daughters too.

Pretty deep movie, very well cast and acted. ....On another note, feeling sorry for oneself is a waste of time and very dangerous leading to depression and or suicidal thoughts and actions. Karma happens to everybody all the time, best to just accept it and realize we're not in control.. Hari Om
She wasn't 'feeling sorry' for her herself. She was traumatized, as in PTSD, from her father's emotional abuse and then from the car accident with her mother.
She had already been conditioned by her dad to believe that she was bad and she was responsible for any bad things that happens, especially if its sexually related. She was conditioned to accept physical and emotional abuse.
Then when the accident occurred, she knew that she had to pay the price with punishment. She inflicted that punishment to herself in the worst way possible, by manifesting what her father had been accusing her of all along. This happens in real life in abusive families.

I think her father habitually punished her when she do a mistake. So her mind to it as if mistake happened should be punished. So when unintentionally huge mistake happened her mind make her to get punished. As she is a small girl who can't understand the world she intended to get punished. le film est d'une porté rare d'une vision réaliste du mondes non seulement en montrant l'image des décisions prisent par l'autorité familiale qui sont la plus part du temps exagérément sévères mais aussi troublant, ce qui renvoie au caractère de la jeune fille perdue qui ne connaissait même pas se que j'appelle contrôle de soi à tel point elle peut être considérée comme une névrosé de punition exagéré, ceci est une leçon aux parents qui ne se rendent pas compte des conséquences de la peine ressentie par leurs enfants lors d'une punition quelconque c'est toujours une déception émotionnelle et même mentale d'où il faut limiter la punition en fonction des actes poser car même ne rien faire peut être considéré comme une punition tout dépend du ressentit mental ou émotionnelle ainsi on est éduqué, sur ce le film est excellent👏👏👏

This is parenting on an honour/ shame/ ego basis rather than to actually keep your children safe.
The fact that she is so scared of her father that she hitchhikes in the beginning and actually puts herself at risk because she can’t stay back with her friends or at the very least call him to pick her up is telling.
I understand that parents worry, he didn’t talk about his worry, rather her “promiscuity “ and put her out on the street.
Again whilst the mother was in a coma not much compassion was shown and he didn’t even seem concerned that she was missing for days. It wasn’t until the end that he actually woke up and showed true compassion.

We are all taking it big deal if our parents is being strict to us. It's for our own good. I'ved been grown up on an very strict mother cause my parent is separate. On point that my mother says bad and abusive word just to be scared. And for now I'm thankful that my mother is like that. Thankful because she thought me to be strong and understand life that's why she's like that. Know her problem is when will I get married 😅. But in some point we have different thoughts, mind and perspective of life. I don't judge just saying cause not all are strong enough to take life😥. Life is harsh sometimes 😭. And the point is on how we'll take life, harsh or good in our life.

Very good movie so sad , wish they had of extended it a little longer , to see the mother come out of her coma and the father be forgiven of his guilt .... it also would have been nice to see the children laugh and become a normal family .
