I had stage 4 cancer a year ago, I listened to this song every night and cried myself to sleep. I was scared and didn't know if i was going to make it through, but I have so far. This song means a lot to me, and i listen to it when i need to take a step back to humble myself and be thankful for what i have.

My dad was diagnosed with dementia last year. This song reminded me of the hard work that he had to build a house for us. But he made so much more than that, he built a home, where me, my sister and my mother felt safe. This song made me cry so many times, because he was our best friend and now he´s no longer the same person. But we are here for him, trying to do what he always did for us. We try to make him happy and safe and make him feel that he´s not alone.
It must be so hard for all of you 😔, but what you all are doing for him it's a truly proof of love, i can tell by your words how much loved your father are, and that's one of the most wonderful things that i person can receive, love...
So, my appreciation for the love and care that you and you family have for you father, that's so precious, even in this circumstances, he is blessed to have a family who loves and care for him till the end, remeber that what you all are doing for him it's precious

The past fills me with regrets beyond redemption, the future has been crush and at best bleak. Never though about actually someone to being able like an open book, wide eyes with life and ecstasy, who show so much effort. And I killed it.. with my own ego. So much I should have done but it was always later or tomorrow in my mind..I took her for granted and I can't even swallow the saliva in my mouth realising tomorrow is no longer an option. The pain, the regrets, the mischances..I truly hope no one they go through this..

My dad died two weeks ago, a few days after we discovered he had terminal cancer. The pain is so deep, I feel my heart physically aches. I want to hug him again, I would do anything just for another hug or call. Dad I’ll miss you until my last breath. Thank you for loving like nobody could. I felt everything you said. It's been 6 years for me losing my Dad. We too found out he had terminal cancer 16 days before he passed away. I lost my brother the year before that and I thought I wasn't ok. Losing my dad raised another level of pain that l didn't know I could feel. He was/is my best friend and my person. I miss him dearly still today 💙

Yes. Last time I saw my mother was at a cousins wedding. She came from a different state. I had been ignoring her calls and texts. When I got to the wedding she immediately pulled me away from the others and asked what was going on. I just fell apart. Laid my head in her lap and sobbed “I’m so tired... I’m just so so so tired”

When I was younger my dad was abusive and i been threw a lot in my life, losing my best friend because of a car crash, have been kicked out of a friend group and thought my life was over, thought of killing my self many times, parents who hate each other, and much more. This song has helped me. As a dancer, I dance to this and cry, and think of how my life has been horrible, and then when the climax of the song hits, I think of how when I grow older I will build a home, and raise a family and kids, and make sure that they don't have to suffer the things I have, and make sure that they have an amazing life. This life has taught me to be better than my parents were, to raise a kid the right way, and that our lives could be so much better if we would just do things the right way. I want to give thanks to my friends Anoushka, Sophie, Noelle, Chloé, and my lost friend Millie. RIP Millie we love you

My mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer a week and a half ago. I don’t know how to do life without her. I don’t know how to exist. I’m a single mom and I don’t know how to be a mom without mine. yesterday i attended a funeral of a boy who passed away in a motorcycle accident, his mother and friends decided to put this song as they were bringing him to the grave. It was so sad yet so beautiful and deep, i think i’ll never forget that moment. Rest in peace man💛

The way that she consoles him when she is the one who is dying. This is a very beautiful and powerful song, and the video makes it so much more impactful giving this song a whole new life. To be able to have lived a life and experience that type of love that is so profound and transcending makes it all worthwhile. Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Born and growing up in a small town called Aranos in namibia 🇳🇦, this song makes me emotional when i think of all my friends and people i grow up with and went school with dead at the young age, some died of HIV, some are killed, some are in jail, some are drunkyard. But me i moved out from my home town about 10 years ago.. sometimes i miss them but those onse that are alive are nowhere to be found .. i feel very lonely deep down in my heart coz where i based now i dont feel loved and appreciated.

My father once worked with a man who would always respond to the question “ how was your day?” with the most positive reply. He would answer “ well, God allowed my feet hit the floor this morning.. so it’ll be a good day” I believe we need to live our lives each and every day by this mindset. I took care of my ill mother for 4 1/2 years until she had to go into hospital.
She never came home and passed just after her 70th birthday. It will be 7 years ago this January 2024.
She was my only family.....and raised me as a single parent.

This song. Feels like home. Back in high school I first heard this song and thought it was so cottage style. The kind of music you hear when you’ve lived your very best at life and you sit in a chair at home remembering all the wonderful memories. Years passed for me and here I am working on my cabin thinking just how crazy life can turn. I cant say I’m lucky since I’ve lost people I loved so much but I have to believe or try to understand that that’s just life. We aren’t meant to understand or control it, we just have to… live.

My husband married me and carried me during the height of my illness and helped me as I healed. Not only did he take care of me, he took on being a father to my 12 year old daughter at the time with no hesitation. He built this house up. My husband died 5 months ago in a head on collision and our 6 month old baby boy survived. This is a beautiful song that really speaks to me.

Life is a rollercoaster really... There is a lack of a sense of community and support mostly everywhere.
My father past away when I was 4 years old and his family and my mom abandoned me. I was raised by my grandmother from my mom's side, and I was able to find my father's family after 26 years, and meet my other grandmother after so long. After a year both my grandmothers died in the same week. It feels terrible, its been quite a year, I have buried everyone at the age of 30 and dealing it since I was 4.
I really felt lost, I buried myself with them and there is no purpose after all. It has been quite a while i had not felt in peace and this song made me feel that way.

I’m 18, I finished high school early and I’m not working at a McDonald’s. Listening to this song, remembering how many time I said I hated school, didn’t try love, was scared to make new friends and try new things, I wish I could go back and do it again. I used to love & adore this song years & years ago. I was getting abused at home & felt like my life was basically over. I couldnt see a future for myself at all, and thought I would die before I reached my senior year of high school.
I am now 24. Though there are still struggles, I have felt myself rise above them all. I truly feel at my most happiest, and am so happy to live day to day. If you ever think its not possible, it definitely is. I have hope for you all. Good luck ♡♡♡
