  • Ingredients for Cupcakes
    • ½ cup (1 stick or 4 oz) unsalted butter, room temperature
    • ¾ cup granulated sugar
    • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar or 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 3 large eggs, room temperature
    • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • A pinch of salt
    • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
    • 3 tbsp milk, room temperature
    • 4 Oreo cookies, crushed
    For the Cream:
    • 5 oz cream cheese, room temperature
    • ¾ cup heavy cream, cold
    • ⅓ cup powdered sugar
    Instructions:
    For the Cupcakes:
    1. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature.
    2. Beat the room-temperature butter with a mixer for about 3 minutes, until light and fluffy.
    3. Gradually add the granulated sugar while mixing, then incorporate the eggs one at a time.
    4. Mix in the milk.
    5. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
    6. Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
    7. Divide the batter evenly among cupcake liners in a muffin tin.
    8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    9. Let the cupcakes cool completely before decorating.
    For the Cream:
    1. Beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
    2. In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
    3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
    4. Pipe or spread the cream onto the cooled cupcakes as desired.
