when drawing up extra man or man down I use only “A”s and “D”s and number 1 thru 5or6. that way there is no dought which “M1” is offense or defense.
When I think of a 4 man rotation I think that you will use the 5th man to sit on an offense player or sit on/in a location on the field ie like the crease area. but your defense does neither. As soon as there is movement of offensive players your are reactiing like it a 5 man rotation. this works fine but you are adding a level of complexty to the rules you are giving to the defense.
my rules would be for the crease defense man would be stay on the crease and front anyone on the crease. if your man leaves the crease stay there annd waite until someone comes back to the crease. Or if your man leaves the crease stay with him and deny him the ball

Love it! Let me know what you think of the most recent Man Down videos. ruclips.net/video/yyW6cAdhink/видео.html. I think I do a much better job of explaining in these.
