The exceptionally good vocal shape of those shows had probably something to do with the relative shortness of the sets. Also, Learning To Live was performed second each night.
Was thinking the same thing, I thought it was interesting they put Learning to Live that early in the set when it's usually towards the end, but I guess since they were opening for Yes they wanted to cater to their audience right off the bat. And yes, short sets really work well for James.
That was the most incredible thing I've ever seen. I mean just watch it all the way through thinking about what it truly means to learn to live. And then remember James couldn't hit those notes two years earlier, but hit them better than ever in this video, and that they're all up there living their dream making millions.
These guys are so intense that I couldn't listen to most of their songs... Gotta keep it for later when the time is right. Their music is so complex for me that I find it hard to play even a single note
