Wow, what a meticulously planned and well organized trip!! I hope to make such an astrophoto dream-trip sometime in the future …
I am a keen astrophotographer living in Zambia (a neighbour to Namibia) and also own a RedCat51.
I hope your trip went to plan and I greatly look forward to your next two videos about the experience and the resulting images.
    Best regards,
    Mupanga Mwanakatwe

Yes caught it this morning. Very interesting. Glad it went well, now looking forward to seeing the results. Would you do it again? Would you take all your own kit? What did it all cost? Maybe there’s a 4th video - I hope so! Well done for pioneering. 👍🏻

@@davidcarr4984 Yes, I would do it again. I would love to take a bigger telescope to image smaller targets but the more sensible thing to do is to rent a mount and telescope and take the other items only. It was expensive because of the flights..but Kiripotib was really not very expensive. Prices are on their website, and you can easily find out flight cost from where you are. Next video will show example processing and results.

On Weds it looks like you start imaging Rho Ophiuchus 30 mins before you finish imaging Running Chicken. Looks like a very well organised schedule though, I just go outside and think "hmm, what will I point at today". Have fun!
