Mahesh Bhat & Sunny Deol worked together for the first & last time. It has a very good story line & lot of suspense here & there. Good performances & good music by Rajesh Roshan. Lyrics were based on the story. Particularly Lyrics of Bhallu song tell the pain behind the past wonderfully. It was a descent movie with top actor like Sunny Deol. But it failed at box office. Probably people did not like Sunny Deol in the role of a press reporter.
The movie did not fail though it could not ignite the box office the way a Sunny Deol Dimple Kapadia starter directed by Mahesh Bhatt should have done. The movie recovered its investment by doing above average business. The main reason for the movie not igniting the box office was because of its delay by 2 years n the producers released it in a haste without promotion n without a proper chain of theaters. Nevertheless the nail bitting drama, action by Sunny Deol, Sunny Dimple's electrifying chemistry and Rajesh Roshans music brought to theater loyal fans. The romantic song Yeh Raat Yeh Tanhaiya was hugely popular and a big hit.
