What I am always impressed with is the seamless transition that Tim and in this case Chris can make from Tim leading and Chris doing bass to Tim doing bass and Chris doing tenor. It is always such a seamless transition you don't even notice unless you know the vocalists in the group. It's even better between Tim and Chance because their ranges are more comparable.
This is such a beautiful song, and the guys definitely did it justice!! I sang this with my school choir way back in the day, as a part of a Christmas Medley, so I'm particularly nitpicky when I hear it covered, but HFs version went straight to my Christmas Spotify playlist!! You have given me inspiration. I haven't sung this song in years; I used to sing this in church when I was in my teens. Since then, I haven't really sung at all. But, I think I';ll get together with my sisters to do this. Usually I just accompany choral groups on the pianos but I think it's time to bring back a family act. My sister has kept current and even appeared on America's got talent singing. I'll work it up and appeal to her better nature and bury the hatchet. We had quite a trio...And biw, ,I have a son in law that was in Queensland Aus. premier singers. And a daughter in law that sang as a music major for Colorado University. i we can't do it justice...well then....

For some reason Christmas reactions are popping up on my suggestion list. I had already watched this when you first posted it like 8 months ago, but it was cool to watch the QoFy music teacher/ choir director in action again.
Same! Two years ago, I got on RUclips looking for Pentatonix' version of "Oh Holy Night". I listened to it, loved it, YT recommended Home Free's version so I listened to that one too and was intrigued enough to click on the next video, which was HF's "Do You Hear What I Hear". I normally dislike that song but Adam's arrangement, and HF's performance of it, not only made me a certified Home Fry, it also became my favorite Christmas song possibly of all time.

A Capella lends exquisitely to Christmas music because of the melodies and harmonies, and at times sounds better without accompaniment, in my opinion!! Don’t misunderstand, though! I do love percussion and other instruments. I’ve just become more acclimated to A Capella music since discovering Home Free! I really loves your whole reaction and commentary!! My choir director was like a mentor. I learned so much more about music, sight reading, and even gained more confidence in myself because of him. Know what I mean? There's still a lot of complexity to make it sound simple, becuz those harmonies are sooo tight and flow so well throughout! I loved how Tim arranged this one. This was one of the first Home Free songs that I really heard, and I couldn't stop listening to it that Christmas. (Ironically, through the vagaries of RUclips, I actually found the Hound and the Fox first, and I think they led me to Home Free.) It's such a beautiful carol, and a wonderful performance. As you probably know, HF's new Christmas album is out this Friday, but the one this was from came out in 2014. Can't help it, Isn't Austin pretty? And that pretty voice, too. He's got carriage that if he turns it up you can hear him in Tobago. Put him opposite Tim's base and it's heaven. Now if the little weasel would put on ten pounds or so, so you wouldn't be afraid he'd slip down the drain in the shower, he'd be perfect. Oh shame on me. My mama should slap my face. This was one of the first Home Free songs that I really heard, and I couldn't stop listening to it that Christmas. (Ironically, through the vagaries of RUclips, I actually found the Hound and the Fox first, and I think they led me to Home Free.) It's such a beautiful carol, and a wonderful performance. As you probably know, HF's new Christmas album is out this Friday, but the one this was from came out in 2014. Can't help it, Isn't Austin pretty? And that pretty voice, too. He's got carriage that if he turns it up you can hear him in Tobago. Put him opposite Tim's base and it's heaven. Now if the little weasel would put on ten pounds or so, so you wouldn't be afraid he'd slip down the drain in the shower, he'd be perfect. Oh shame on me. My mama should slap my face.

If you figure out something for Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy, I’ll be watching it, I love that one so much. And someone commented on that video the “lyrics” for it, it’s hilarious! Even funnier that you can actually follow it along!
Also, before I forget, last Christmas Peter Hollens released an Evolution Of Christmas Songs, it’s so good, his son makes a brief cameo unintentionally, you’ll see why when you watch it!
