Honestly this game was easier in a number of ways than dkcr. Doesn't mean it wasn't hard tho. There were so many things that made this game a cake walk. The control scheme, Dixie, the buyables, basically everything. The "problem" with the stages tho is that they're usually pretty long. And they are more stamina based than anything. They're easy, but the difficulty can add up in your psyche making it easier to mess up as they go on. K levels are a prime example of that in this game
3 extra levels in a secret island and if you complete them, you'll Unlock Hard Mode, which is replaying all levels, except you get to choose what Kong you want to play as but you also have no buddies, no power ups, no checkpoints and a single heart point. Plus, all these levels mentioned also have hidden puzzle pieces and Hard Mode has four new K-O-N-G letters to collect, meaning that they unlock extras too.
Words cannot describe how much of a headache Jagged Jewels (4-K), Blast-n-Bounce (5-K) and Perilous Passage (6-K) were! Those took me days to complete in Mirror Mode!!
I've always loved the K levels in all the DK games. Perfect difficulty and the "gotta keep moving" Kaizo feel to be SUPER satisfying when you finish

Lore of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - All K-Levels | [No Damage] momentum 100
How difficult was this for you?
Insane.
Impossible
...is there even a point of doing those levels?
Extra world + a new mode
also they're some of the best 2D platforming levels ever created for any game
