Their spring "Easter" Miku prize is so nice and they offer THIS as a higher quality figure?? OOF. I wouldn't pay more than 20 for this.

New to this channel, very happy to see another Miku collector! I would definitely suggest investing in a ring light for the figures you review though. The dark lighting makes it difficult to see the details of the figure.

I just ordered the latest BiCute Bunny suit Miku figure by FuRyu and that costs less than $20 bucks but it looks better and bigger than the one you reviewed.

How did taito get away with this? Definitely glad i forgot about this and very glad i didn't bother with any of there other "high quality" releases.

Oh man, I came here from a comment left on the TOM page for this figure, and holy shit they weren't kidding, this figure is bad. If this was just a $20 prize figure I'd think, "yeah, that's fair," but not for the $130 price point. I would be absolutely pissed if I had ordered this; gonna be removing it from my wishlist now.
This is very disappointing since I've had my eye on this figure for a while, but I'm glad you made it so I can avoid this figure and spend my money on actual quality figures.
yeah, use that money to get any other miku figure.

Hello I know this is random but I basically ordered a Hatsune Miku Sakura Taito and there are two hair parts that I need to plug into her head,only the problem is is that it won't plug in, same goes for the stand can someone please give me advice?
Try using warm water, that will help.
Or a hair dryer but becarefull, you could damage the figure.

My opinion/reasoning: (Buckle up!)
I try to Pre-order 100% of Hatsune Miku figures, I really like her design and what she means to me from a personal and cultural perspective goes beyond reason. (Waifu)
There are a couple of figures that at first glance I didn't like (from many companies) and got them after release for a lower price, just to have them in my collection.
It's been 13 years since they release Miku Hatsune as the image for a software, to be honest I'm surprise she is still this popular in 2020.
I'm paying high prices (Pre-orders prices) to keep her alive, I believe helps the cause.
She has a weird effect on people and I'm not the only one, if you watch the video about Good Smile Company you can see how they feel about her.
There is a constan competition between figure companies to keep her as their own, that's quite nice for people who like her, come to think, I don't know what other character get this many figure releases/attention thru the years like Miku.
Taito changed the market, I was shock when I got a prize figure so cheap, I mean it's not 10/10 quality, but it's more than worth it, in most cases.
Finally a figure that's accesible and more budget friendly to everybody. (Not everybody can afford a $200 figure, I don't even think is a smart investment or thing todo overall)
Lately I have notice a trend, new figures goes from 15,000 to 20,000 yens for pre-order, a few weeks after release they go down 20%-40% from original price as "pre-owned"
We could wait to get the reviews before ordering and make an educated decision, BUT, they could sold out and the price x2 .... no one knows why some figures goes up as $500+ and I bet someone is willing to pay that aftermarket price. (For example: there are 2 Gurren Lagan figures that went from 8k to +50K)
In this case (Precious Figure f Hatsune Miku Special Edition) they let us down really bad, even a prize figure have better quality than this horrible thing. They promise to be a 10/10 high end scale figure but they played like a damn fiddle!
We cannot trust pictures, Taito's reputation has been compromise.
Now more than ever, people is having hard times with this pandemic and collecting worthless PVC goes to the bottom of the priority list.
The best thing that Spiritale/Wing could do is: Release Sweet Angel Miku at a reasonable price for 2 reasons:
1.- Build trust
2.- Let the people see your product before making a hole in people's wallet.
Make this 1st figure limited at a reasonable price, they can easily have a second release down the road and get the money back. Now that reputation it's established you can go $200 price range with future releases.
If you read the comments in My Figure Collection about that figure, people is worry for the same reasons, Quality and price.
At the end of the day Money talks. They obviously don't pay a lot of attention to the world (It's rare to have a Japanese company taking in mind america and another countries, they focus more on local market /economy) sometimes it's feels they don't like money....
Opening a new company on this year in particular could be devastating for them. (release is on 2021 but you pre-order are in 2020)
Nevertheless.... I'll pre-order and give them a chance, I do not recommend to anybody to pre-order that figure for all the reasons above, but I'm taking that decision on the base that Taito has "save" me tons of money.
Right now I can afford to take the risk and I'll.
Having Hatsune Miku as the flag ship for a brand new company is a smart move, not gonna lie, she looks cute 10/10

I think I am going to take the risk too for the same reasons, but I really hope that they put her on display somewhere or release other pictures before hand. I was the same as everyone else on mfc all excited. But when I found out it was taito i was concerned. It seemed like nobody was talking about it and just hoping the new manufacturer was good. I said it was taito in the mfc comments and I was surprised how everyones tone immediately changed. I think theres a lot of pressure on taito to perform well and hopefully they will be more transparent with the figure before october.

I'm interested in collecting figures next year! I have 2 questions! Are prize figures smaller? and im not sure if you bought figures from Amazon.. but are they reliable?
I recommend getting prize figures, they have good quality and some time even more quality than the scale ones.
Also there are pop up parade from good smile company, also good quality. These are smaller but they are worth they cheap price.
I have buy from Amazon, the thing is that the packaging is really bad, like the put a figure box inside those bubble wrap envelopes and the box will get crush, sometimes damaging the figure.
On one ocation I got a counterfeit but amazon gave me a full refund.
I recommend using Tokyo Otaku Mode and goos smile company USA store.
You can get really good prices on pre-owned figures from amiami.com and mandrake but shipping is high.

Man, that face is down right awful. It looks poorly sculpted compared to the promo photo. I understand some things might be tweaked or change between promo photos and the actual figure, but quality dropping is not good. Some people might not mind, but faces are one of the most important thing for me loving a figure and finding it worth it's price. If the face looks off, it can ruin the entire figure for me.
she's cute but definitely not worth the price. if she were priced at $40-$50 it would be more reasonable.

I tend to overlook somethings like this but this figure just looks sad....

It looks like it's by a bootleg company.
I'm guessing that figure isn't massed produced like the good smile ones that is why the quality can be different for each figure. The picture on the box looks better then the figure. If your good at customising and painting figures. I think you could fix it to look like that one.

I find this cute in a joke way, But if I had to write a review for this I’d definitely give it a 2 star since pretty much everything on the box was practically photoshopped. Taito has so much more prize figures that look AMAZING but…this just looks bad…

I don't mind this figure. It's better off as a prize figure. You can't sell something like this for a high price. I have a prize figure with a better face than this Miku lol.
