The detective violated the proffer agreement and released the illegally recorded tape publicly for money in a book and multiple tv shows and films and exposed a bunch of sensitive information about people that hasn’t been corroborated. But when the black guy does it for money that’s when they start paying attention. He violated the deal and the LVMPD didn't even make that deal in the first place. He did a proffer with the LAPD to get out of a PCP trafficking case which would've given him a life sentence. A proffer is not immunity and he must've been told this a ton of times. It's also known as "Queen for a Day" as in you admit, discuss, and elaborate your past criminal activity to authorities, presumably unsolved cases, and not mention it again after the session(s) or that proffer is voided. Needles to say, he violated it many times over by writing a book, discussing the murder on BET, and doing a bunch of interviews about it over the years.
With a proffer, you do it to get a deal or otherwise let go entirely with a clean slate with the agreement to not commit further crimes, not discuss the crimes mentioned in the proffer, and go about your life not addressing it out loud again. It's essentially a get out of jail card and arguably a private snitch session to help the police in exchange to go back to living your days.
So you can't feel sorry for Keefe. He got out of a life sentence for trafficking after already getting away with a murder he bragged about in LA after he and the others returned from Vegas, and he still decided to open his mouth and stupidly tell on himself.

@@citypopradioFMthat proffer agreement never made sense at all. Why would they let a big time gangster off a drug trafficking charge for him to name a dead man as the culprit for the crime they were investigating? It doesn't add up, well it does add up to law enforcement being involved in the murder and to keep it all hush hush

so if Keefe says he was lying the whole time then hell go to jail for the drug charges that he told this information to not get charged with (kading proffer) ... the only reason he didnt get charged for that drug case and do 30 years was because he told this information. so if he was lying about it then he can then be charged and do 30 years for the drug case.

You think he confessed for free to be know as a killer just to still be where he’s at? Real people who know law know the very least even jmix he was involved. There’s no proof tying him to it. No rented caddy records with his name or associates name on it. All they have is a fight on tape he wasn’t even in and hearsay in a Compton affidavit from people who wernt there. His own words to this day have never been corroborated and he supposedly told them everything!?? Did he tell them where the gun was put? Who rented the car and from where? So a New York gangster had a throwaway gun ready in a secret compartment in a car in Vegas to give to keefe d to shoot 2pac. Yea ok. By the way keffe said he got the gun from 2 different people first zip then Crips from Vegas. Also in his book he says it was 2 guns with them in the car. Where the other gun come from????

If you been following the case then you’d know everyone has been lying about this case the last 20 years from the investigator who got the confession to the witnesses who were around that night. How do you kno he was even there? No pictures, case has been very public for years before he talked. His investigator he told to sat in on a Tupac assassination documentary done by 2pacs 2 body guards a year before keffe confessed. Did you hear the proffer audio???? Do you know what leading is????

So he's going to find some clown lawyer and maintain all those instances he elaborated on participating in the murder, even to the LAPD in a proffer to get out of another life sentence case, was all a joke and scam.
