    Thanks for the review! Were you able to buy it close to MSRP?
    My dealerships are still marking them up by $2K unfortunately.

      Hate to hear that, but thankfully, I was finally able to find a dealership that wasn't playing games. None of their cars were marketed over MSRP. And I was able to get my employee discount with out any BS games they try to play. There are 6 Toyota dealers with in 1 hr of me. The plant for Camry/Rav4 is where I work. But dealers have decided (all but Toyota South in Richmond Ky) to play games. Either not honoring employee pricing, forcing you to use a bank of their picking (which will give them kickbacks on the higher interest rates of the loan), or putting so many extra dealer installed options on it with extra mark up on it that it offsets the discount.
      Dealerships are shooting them selves in the foots, and if you look out west, you'll see they are having a hard time selling trucks. Their once bread and butter. I think people are just tired of being taken advantage of mostly.

      @@TougeSolo Here in Vegas, dealer add ons like “Desert Paint Protection” is most likely a layer of armor-all costs $1K+. Some dealers are greedy.
      I’ll keep waiting, thanks for the advice 🙏

      Good luck to ya, and don't be afraid to drive a little bit for a fair deal. I had to drive 30-45 minutes to get mine, and have driven a few hours to buy other cars in the past. Know people who'd drive to Chicago from Central KY just to get a new car. lol.

    Sounds like you should’ve bought the SE model! You don’t like the fake sporty, but you want the fake sporty?

    • @TougeSolo
      @TougeSolo  5 месяцев назад +1

      I like the front bumper better on the SE, and I do miss some of the options like touch lock/unlock. But overall there isn't a big difference between LE and SE. The biggest let down is the loss of the manual transmission which is really what I wanted. But decided to give the hybrid life a try and haven't really been mad about that yet.

      @@TougeSolo that’s great, I am about to finance a se hybrid. Very excited to see 50mpg around town and coasting in EV mode, coming from a 21 Tacoma it will be a nice change of pace. Hybrids are the future, better value per mile.

    The click sound in park is the electric handbrake, if that's what you mean?
    Or the parking pall disengaging, maybe. That, I don't like, so I tend to go neutral and put the handbrake, before going into park, so it sits on the rear brakes. Like in a manual.

    • @TougeSolo
      @TougeSolo  5 месяцев назад

      I have turned off the auto-parking brake. it's kinda of annoying in an automatic. in a manual, sure makes since. Auto, only for big steep hills.

    I have the 2024 Corolla Hybrid SE AWD and I do agree that it looks nicer than the LE, but I wish I can get 50 mpg, barely getting 40s because of the bigger wheels and the AWD.

      Not ideal but I now have 4 spares from where I changed the wheels out. Lol

    I kind of get what he's talking about. I call them frivolous cosmetic design features. It just dirties up what is an otherwise clean design.

    Do you need key to open the door or Toyota provides a FOB?

    • @TougeSolo
      @TougeSolo  4 месяца назад

      It's not the touch handle locks on the LE. You have to step up to either SE or XSE. This is just a near basic hybrid. No thrills, just good MPG and basic needs.
