    11:49 Okay Bro
Badlapur is story of normal family man Raghav (varun dhawan) change into criminal ."Badlapur" is placed in the middle of the journey oriented and goal and journey oriented movies because it depicts the story of a regular family man named Raghav (Varun Dhawan). However, when his wife and child are killed, he decides to take matters into his own hands and becomes a criminal by the end of the movie we see him change family man to criminal (journey oriented). That is Raghav goal in whole movie to find and kill them (goal and journey oriented). Sorry if my explanation is unclear, it's my first time and love your Videos.

I noticed one thing in Animal, ki Balbir ji loved Vijay and showed it subtly:
    1. Jaise ki Vijay ka wo birthday letter saalon tak sambhal kar rakhna. (wo or better hota agar Balbir ji uske haath mein chhadi ka nishaan dekhkar antiseptic lagakar).
    2. Balbir ji ka yeh kehna ki jab pehli goli lagi to tumhari yaad aayi or laga ki tum mujhe satark kar rahe ho.
    3. Ek scene mein Balbir ji ka yeh kehna ki mere bass mein hota to main tujhe apna heart de deta.
    4. Abrar ki backstory reveal hone par, Balbir ji ka kehna ki tu abhi abhi theek hua hai, inn cheezon mein mat pado.
On the other hand wo apni wife par ek scene mein chillakar kehte ki I don't regret.
Aisa maine Balbir ji ka bhi character arc notice kiya ki wo upar se ek egoistic and ignorant person hain lekin subtly wo ek caring father bhi hain.
Waise Mole wali baat jo aapne kahi ispar main yeh theory kehna chahti hoon.
Ki ek scene mein Ranvijay, Varun ke baap ko "Scamster" kehta hai or Dada ji, Abrar ke dada ko scamster kehte hain, to mujhe lagta hai ki Varun or Abrar ki family ka koi deep connection hai. Also jab Ranvijay, Balbir ji se Holiday par chalne ke liye kehta hai to shayad wo apni family ko Aziz se bachane ke liye kaha ho.
Waise aapka Animal Fixed was awesome especially Geethu ke kaan mein Vijay jo kehta hai.😂😂

Badlapur is there because ig, we witness the Transformation of Raghu. How he went from a normal Family Loving innocent guy to a psychotic murderer unable to move on and accept the loss of his family. During the end he killed people who didn't had any connection to his wife or childs death just to fullfill his rage. I also feel Laik's character too had a type of transformation. He went from wanting to be free from the prison and live his life with his girlfriend to accepting his mistake and landing in prison again. Moreover near the end when Huma Qureshi's character confronts Raghu and leaves, we see there still a void in his life that his ragefull revenge didn't filled which just leaves him a sad man. On the other hand Laik inside the prison accepted his death with cancer and was therefore abit happy(won't say happy but he was not as serious as Raghu was).

19:13 there is a Malayalam movie 'Joji'
it has almost same kind of revelation. A character who has done something wrong (audience knows that) is somehow forced by other character to confess by just using words and mind games like 'what were you doing that day ... but you don't go there ... he said you were not there....
such kind of revelation would have made jijja killing more satisfying, imagine:
At home,(these are just meaning not full dialogues)
Vijay: Aapko pata chala tha vo decoy tha
Jija: Nhi atleast mujhe toh bata sakta tha family mein sabko pata honi chaiye thi
Vijay : baat zyada failti toh plan fail ho jaata
    Jija: bahrosa nhi hai mujhpe
Vijay: Aisa nhi buss vo ...
Jija: tujhe pata hai papa ki fikar chhadh gyi thi jab unko ki jab Oberoi (must be setup earlier) ki meeting ke liye jaana pada
Vijay : Vaise uss oberoi ki meeting ka offer toh aap hi laaye the na
Jija : Haa toh tu khaina kya chatha ki maine plan kia wah koi bhi kaale mask phen ke hamla kar jaaye toh mera naam lagayega because you just hate me
Vijay: Agar andar wale ka nhi toh kha se unhe pata chala unhe papa ke schedule ka
Jija: Toh tu mera naam laga rha hai
Vijay: Aree aap itna kyu badak re
Jija: I am now giving divorce to your sister mujhe uss family mein nhi rehna jha meri izzat nhi
    (and starts leaves)
(vijay stands in anger and call his bros in hall and tell to do nesassary steps)
and same that scene of movie just add one dialogue
Vijay:Black mask ka kisne bataya aapko.
(go towards him hand on shoulder and speak)
Vijay: aapko kisne bataya black masks ka
(and then goes the same exact scene from there)
These just short dialogues but details and dialogues can be added to give more depth and please ignore some mistakes.

I think here, a non linear narration would work better, for instance, your conversation but he doesn't ask his jija right away about how he knew the black mask thing, instead he kills first and then later this scene is rolled. Also I think that a subtle and peacefull conversation followed by explosive killing jija scene kind of doesn't buy me. Either it should be written with an intent of rolling the killing jija unexpectedly like how tarantino does ( bar scene in bastards ) or it should be non linear.

11:49 Badlapur comes out as a story which starts with a goal implanted in protagonist's head about his wife and Son but soon swoops into the emotional and mental journey of Raghav and even Nawazuddin. It shows the limits of a common man when he is disturbed by crime and torture of the outer world(reminds me of Joker). It shows the internal change of the character as he moves towards his Goal which makes it fall perfectly between Goal and Journey Oriented. Love your Film Documentaries( calling them YT Videos would be an Understatement).🐈🐈(some cat emojis for your attention to this comment)

Great video. But you missed some points also that vanga uses. In the jija confrontation scene, Before ranvijay goes inside, there are only two guitarists at back. When he leaves , there is a violon player in between maybe as an indication to show ranvijay's rage.
In kabir singh & arjun reddy, he uses train to start showing kabir's rage, and ends with a bus going when shiva tells dadi has died. In animal, he again uses train sequence when asrar kills balbir's body double, maybe showing that war has started between families but doesn't end it here because probably more bloodshed is left in 2nd and 3rd part.
again vanga uses lot of j cuts and l cuts while editing which are still new to indian cinema.

@@zenitsu_agutsu Arre you are already forgetting that there is a second part of this movie called ''Animal Park''. I think you may have missed the post credit scene of Animal movie.
Who knows it will be darker and more violent? Who knows that Aziz Haque (body double of Ranvijay) will kill Ranvijay's entire family with the help of Zoya?
And in boot licking scene since Zoya had confessed about Abrar entire planning to Ranvijay that Abar is making his body double Aziz Haque (living in Istanbul) who under disguise of Ranvijay will kill entire family and will capture entire Swastik Company therefore Ranvijay will become more violent heartless animal because his father Balbir Singh will die, and his wife Geetanjali had left him.
And Sandeep Reddy Vanga said that animal park will also show about Abar family history and childhood of Abar Haque how he became mute for his grand father.

"Cinemaaan’s review of Animal is brilliant! It captures how Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film blends Tarantino’s raw, stylized violence with the powerful family drama we see in The Godfather. Scorsese would appreciate the morally complex characters and intense father-son dynamics, while Coppola might see echoes of his own work in the film's exploration of loyalty, revenge, and the darker sides of family. Animal takes Indian cinema into new territory with its fearless storytelling, ambitious visual style, and gritty performances, especially from Ranbir Kapoor.
As someone who loves cinema from Ray’s subtle realism to Tarantino’s blood-pumping action, I find Animal to be an impressive mix of noir and Indian masala, something that would captivate fans of global cinema. This film, with its bold narrative and homage to the classics, is both a celebration of and a bold departure from traditional Bollywood storytelling. Hats off to Cinemaaan for bringing out these layers in such an engaging review!"

What a great analysis ! damn. Personally my suggestion for the second half would be to add the time ticking bomb trope like u mentioned in the video. Instead of just shocking the audience with bobby deol the director could have again added a sequence of older ranbir (right after the interval) to give hint to the audience that there is a bomb. That would have made the second half much more interesting, would make the audience doubt, get confused and question everything and bobby's reveal could so much more climactic. Plus the director could have added a little more motivation to Abrar's character through its flash even tho it would have increased the run time but atleast it would be better than the affair trope.

tbh, the movie is was well directed, acting was great by almost the entire cast, soundtrack fitted perfectly, well-choreographed action scenes. but damn the incessant need of the script to be mediocre was all that lacked and, in an era, where bad scripts can derail whole movies( e.g.-any netflix originals, marvel, dc) this was noticed rather prominently. and also, I think my stand stands even after you remove the whole misogyny debate circulating around it.

A man so driven by the yearning of his father’s validation, that he goes beyond his moral transcendence losing all sight of right and wrong almost becoming as crazy as the villain itself.
