Love the detailed and easy to follow guides. Would you by any chance do video's about engine parts in the future? for example: removing the cruise control etc. I do have an issue with my gto with what seems to be the throttle sticking when warm and drives itself.

Joe, thank you again for taking so much time and effort to do videos on the 3000gt. The front bumper seemed a little easier to remove than the rear. I will be removing both. I've two 3000s (91 3kGT SL/ 99 VR4). I'm replacing the front bumper on the 99 VR4 with a OEM replacement and was curious on tips.
Everything on the 91 SL was a pain to work on, but I'm hoping this job is different, because RUclips didn't exist when it was my everyday driver.

I haven't heard of this being a common problem before. Are you asking for a video on how to diagnose where the fault is or how to re-solder the break?
Sorry for the late response, but yes that would be great on how diagnose the the wires and re-solder them. For example my driver side power mirror and my passenger window don’t work when my driver door is closed but if I open up the door they work perfectly fine.
I don't usually do fault finding videos because the possible causes and solutions to some faults can be so vast and complex. I sometimes cover repairs to certain parts because new parts are no longer available or are rediculously expensive. Please remember that this is a restoration channel and not about fault finding. If I have a car come in with this fault, I will cover the repair but there isn't much point in me damaging a good loom for a demonstration. I hope you will still continue to watch and make use of the other videos. Joe

I am restoring a 1993 USA version 3000GT VR4 and now the biggest problem that I have is that I must repair the second gear of the transmission because I can't shift if I accelerate a little. Are you planning to make a video of how to extract the gearbox? And perhaps how to extract the synchronisms and internal components? It would be great! A few people have mentioned this Craig but I don't do fault finding videos because I can't see your particular fault and I don't want people complaining if I get it wrong through guess work. I will try to put together a general strip down and servicing video that will cover the subject.

I do restoration rather than upgrade. Original hose is readily available from most autoparts stores. Hose layout is shown in the picture under the hood.

It is for Mk1. Mk2 is very slightly different around the lights but easy to work out the difference.

Do you mean the outside panel? All of the inner panels have been covered in other videos.
@@3000GTGTORestoration im not really sure what is called,.uhh but its the panel where you fill up the gas...but on the opposite side...got a video on my channel, my SL got struck by a drunk driver..worst morning of my life.
Changing the outer rear wings is a massive job for the novice. The best way I can think of DIY is to trace the spot welds one by one and drill them out using a special spot weld drill bit. I don't think that I will be covering bodywork in my videos. Sorry.

I am assuming that you are referring to the transmission. That's some pretty serious work for the average man at home. I will be covering advanced level stuff later on and I will add this to the list. Due to the very high cost of that level, it will probably be in the patron area only.

If you are in the US, I would go to one of the many transmission shops and get my old one rebuilt. That way you know it is good.
