As I listen to the revelance of our brother now. I also am reading from Genesis to Revelation in a 6 volume commentary by Matthew Henry, and "each" speaks of "When a soul desires to be saved in Christ"- both brother Chan, and brother Henry understand the "COUNT THE COST" aspect of becoming a follower of The Lord Jesus Christ. "Simple, yet so "Very Costly" (in comparison)- to the vanity of what we think is of importance!" God changes us! Makes us New by the Regeneration of The Holy Spirit!..
Just like Jesus said,"every disciple when fully taught will be like his (or her) teacher" American christians are mostly sheep following blind guides---many people are attracted to the gospel story and then are led off the path to follow the american jesus, an idol we create in our own image whose doctrine is really "a christian spin on the american dream" (quote from Francis friend David Platt)
Is it just me who got disappointed when i went to the verge website and saw that i had to pay to hear the gospel. Verge you have the awesome opportunity to spread the gospel but instead you try and milk the christians for your own profit. Please reconsider your business plan, maybe make payment optional or through some other way, lets keep the Gospel FREE :)
