- This is the last main Atlasphere level, and also the last main "Middle Ages" or "Medieval" themed, one.
You can betcha that Tiny, Dingodile, and N. Tropy will keep showing up everywhere to stop you this time!
What I don't like about this run is how I had to take extra time to find some missing Crates. I didn't even realize it at first until I got to the end, but then I ran into other issues along the way...
Tiny Tiger, one of the most badass characters in the franchise.....casually doing some lazy side-steps in an attempt to deflect Crash for a few seconds.
He's fed up of fighting Crash and losing.
I just noticed that in the Xbox and GameCube versions of this game, the music in Medieval Madness sounds like the music in the level "The Gauntlet" in the 3rd warp room but in the PS2 version of this game, the music in Medieval Madness sounds completely different lol.
It was due to a looping error with the PS2 soundtrack. Andrew Blyth and Martin Joustra designed the track to be just over two minutes, just like many of the other tracks on the game. However, the track would never loop the full two minutes without a major overlap randomly appearing.
Going onto the Xbox, many details were changed. Crash's fur being one of the smaller details. The music issue was resolved by sticking 'The Gauntlet' in its place.
I would say that it was an error on the developer's end. But, I see no reason how they couldn't fix the random loop. Seeing as nor Andrew Blythe or Martin Joustra mixed the tracks, I have to assume it was a coding error.
It's a shame too, because this song is freakin' awesome!
Yep. The music in the Xbox and GameCube versions had a looping error so they cut this music out completely and reused the music from The Gauntlet
Oh, that might explain why I ran into issue of not being able to download the “complete OST” from Zophar’s Domain, appreciate you pointing this out.
*accidentaly touchs the download option, scroll down accidentally and too much, and accidentally rrloads* that is what i came here
One of my favorite Crash soundtracks
To all who are wondering why the loop in this level is so smooth. It isn't! Ironically, that's not true at all. It's because of its clean loop that causes major issues. Sometimes it randomly overlaps itself. It was due to a looping error with the PS2 soundtrack. The Warped bosses here are like badly paid security guards in a shopping centre. 'Well, I don't give a shit, but I'm gonna just pretend I'm doing my job'.
I think that jump at 5:20 is a little cryptic, but I remember the maze was the irritating part when I was a kid. My dad told me to follow the Wumpa Fruit, and then I finished the level
One thing I discovered about this level was that if you deliberately miss the 3rd checkpoint, smash the 5 boxes at 6:18, and then hit the 3rd checkpoint, it doesn't actually register that you've smashed the 5 boxes before hitting the 3rd checkpoint. So, if you die at the chess maze after trying to be clever, you have to go through the nitro path again to smash the 5 boxes again.
Those five crates behind Tiny when you meet him the second time have to be one of the most "Guide, Dang It" moments in the entire Crash franchise.
Every level in It's About Time: "Oh, that's cute."
@@Someguyhere111 It's About Time takes 'Guide, Dang It" to the next level with its perfection.
what is a guide dang it moment
@@snl9500 A moment with no obvious solution to the point that you'd need a guide to figure out what to do lol
Wow. You missed those boxes beyond Tiny.
That part where you have to go pass all those nitro crates, get those few boxes at the end, backtrack, get past an aggravating tiny and then percect the rest of the run was SO hard to do recently. Thank god I got the gem or else I would’ve never tried 100%ing this.
im trying to do that part right now 😞😞
Music gives me goosebumps did years ago now does in 2021 anyone agree?
These Atlasphere levels were the best vehicle stages in the game tbh.
Would love this tune as a ringtone!
I think the name of the level is a reference to Marble Madness, a game Mark Cerny, one of the major people who worked on Crash, made.
The allusion is even more blatant when you realise the atlasphere levels play a lot like Marble Madness... Only with much better depth perception
mannnn you really did all that pointless searching just to skip the one part i actually thought should be checked? wth dude ive gotta completely redo the entire stage now just to get the gem.thanks! lol jk i did actuall learn where the boxes i couldnt find are now.where the green box that blows all the nitro is.thanks but up yours for making me have to do it all over again!
@@andrewthaman-ey4qb you’re welcome!

Does anyone agree that it would be a lot better if the Crash 3 bosses teamed up with Crunch during the boss fights instead of being relegated to certain stages doing questionable moves compared to the previous game?
I think the elementals were a nice concept. Seeing different variations of Crunch was pretty revolutionary at the time.
I imagine they'd have done more with them if they had longer than a year to make the game
5:39 tfw the box counter don’t hit the max value
Great.
*But you missed 5 boxes.*

Robert Slayer crash gets smooshed by five crates
Why is Tiny in this and trying to block Crash's way?
All on Diminished scale 🎵🎶
Crash's proportions are so weird in this game. His feet are larger than his legs
Why does this remind me of Glover game?
Awful stage, one of the worst I've played in any crash bandicot game
El diseño de este nivel es el peor de todos en el juego. No estoy hablando de las mecánicas, sino del diseño artístico. Se ve incompleto y no concuerda con los otros niveles de la misma temática, principalmente por la presencia de agua.
I find it strange that this level is the only level where the music loops properly.
Plus the music is different in the xbox and gamecube

@@saroushen It was, most of the PS2 soundtrack doesn't loop correctly and instead loops end-to-end. Works mostly fine for some tracks, like Medieval Madness or Gold Rush. Does not work for tracks like Wizards and Lizards.
