,,Pochettino found these talents” what a pile of BS, lol. Pochettino wanted Mount Gallagher Ugarte midfield, he wanted more deadwood, lol. He had nothing to do with transfers.
When a slip happens once, you can blame the player... but when it happens twice, you know there truly was a problem, even made worse by the pouring rain. 😢 Thank God he got new boots with sharper studs to dig and hold into the pitch properly.
@Preminger442 What you talking about Mikey Mouse league. The Premier league is one of the most exciting, prestigious and unpredictable league in the world 🌎
I hate this webcam format with crappy audio. It feels like a cheap match reaction. Talksport and fan channels do a better job at match reaction. Do better ESPN.
Cucurella has been immense for us and Spain. And if he was so nervous, why didnt he fall again after changing? Silly media narrative, Cucu is excellent, just a bad mistake. And plenty of players incl. Spurs slipped on tnat side of the putch as well after. So get it right.
I think they should have a stadium ban next match - throwing all that stuff on the pitch when Chelsea were taking a corner was totally unacceptable and should be severely punished by the FA.
The reason that first half went the way it did was because Chelsea had no control with Badiashile a left footed cb playing on the right side with Caicedo inverting. Wesley Fofana is so important for us
Neutral PL follower from Belgium here and really enjoyed the game. Even after the 2 Spurs goals, it still felt Chelsea were in control and I never doubted they would turn it around. Spurs are probably the most entertaining team, but they lack structure and consistency to compete at the top. Chelsea on the other hand are a genuine title contender this season, quite mature for such a "young" team. It does benefit them enormeously that they play conference league this season, so they can keep that oversized squad happy and generate strong competition for places between the A and B teams. Genuinely curious how they would handle that if they play champions league next season.
Yannish is off base. Cucu definitley is to blame for not having spikes on but once he changed boots he was good for us. He has been very good all season.
hahahaha Jan can't find anything in their game to hate on, so lets blame Cucurella, who is a better player than any of these knobs will ever be, for slipping with sh*t boots on a wet pitch (when many other players slipped too), even though Cucu didn't slip again after changing boots.
Spurs had 6 clear cut chances, to Chelsea's zero. This is Spurs' problem in every match. They create many chances in every match, and do not bury them.
@MrCrashturner it's hard to be bothered to construct an argument when you said something so outlandish. But lets see, im sure youll come up with some utter BS new stat, but Spurs inly had 5 shots on taregt the whole match. 2 of their goals were gifted to them by Cucurella slipping. Chelase scored two goals from open play out of 8 shots on target - but you claim they didn't have a single clear chance.
that comment about the boots waiting for him was a bit naive, as if he has never watched any pro level sports. Every professional team has an equipment manager to handle these things for players.
To be fair, other than City and Liverpool, Chelsea do have a pedigree of winning it in recent years with Conte and Mourinho. For all of Arsenal's good work over the last 5 five seasons, its still been 20 years since they've last won it. Sure this is a new Chelsea hierarchy without that foundation, however, Maresca's Championship-winning season and tutelage under Pep in City's best ever season should not be sneered at. That experience is invaluable to a budding tactician in Pep's ilk. He knows how long the gruelling struggle and slug the campaign is hence his commitment to two squads, which is another feather in our cap, our squad depth. Maresca's job now is keeping everyone focused and hungry. We just need to show that nuance and savvy to consistently compete with established top 4 contenders and beat the rest.
As soon as the 🤡 said “it’s not the shoes this is how cucu plays” I immediately clicked off as I can tell they have no idea what they are talking about….. do better ESPN
The narrative that this match was about management is pure fiction. You cant manage a player out of making the tackles that gifted chelsea those pens. You cant manage players into capitalizing on opportunities or making the extra pass. At a certain point, the players have to be responsible for the performance they put in and the players for spurs today should be amazed they only lost by 1.
No, but in a year and a half you should coach players so they improve and so that habitual mistakes are reduced or eliminated. Can you give any examples of either for Ange?
@you’re right, ange probably forgot to mention that fouling in the box results in a penalty kick for the opponent. If he had told the boys that, I’m sure things would have gone different today..
Cucu and the kitman were probably talking about the boots before why when he slipped and ran to the sidelines with his hands up, notice the silver boots with studs were there waiting for him magically 😅He was wearing some plastic studs and those are the reason he slipped. Anyone that played soccer before knows what happened. Those boots probably were his lucky or fav boots and he thought they would suffice yet didn’t we have a game canceled due to weather so the weather definitely had an effect on the field. Pregame wasn’t as wet due to the constant rain. The kitman did his job and had the boots there and we see Cucu had an assist after that. So they better stop with that yellow journalism narrative. 😂
Spurs are in a mess at the moment. There is no doubt we are far worse than last season. I think it’s because we buy cheap players and I guess Ange comes cheaper than some big name managers. Maybe Ange should have had a couple of seasons in the Championship before hitting the big time PL.
Maresca 😊is coming from the championship too, and is more inexperienced than Ange. I just think Maresca is coming to his prime in management. Respect to Todd Boehly & co.
Bias and jealous analysis...... ridiculous. Instead of u to acknowledge that Chelsea were unbelievable to win from 2 goal down, u instead decided to say the whole game is stupid. Thats just bitterness.......😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cucurella realised he’d made a mistake with his footwear, he swopped his boots and then was back to how he’s been playing all season. When Chelsea went 2 down I thought we were going to be humiliated today, but what a comeback. 👏👏👏👏

Yeah, it was a very stupid game. As a neutral, I don't see how we could enjoy the game, maybe more for new football fans who know very little about the game. I can only enjoy teams with managers and structure, I was stupid enough to believe that creature at Spurs would eventually have to show his work and not leave players to figure things out for themselves. I'm glad Chelsea won, Maresca has been fabulous, unlike Spurs whose manager is clueless about his job. Maybe somebody should read to him his job description.
What's this dude talking about cucarella..... he clearly slipped twice and yeah he makes a mistake now and then but this season he has been class on and off the ball. Geezer talking nonsense about the studs being the same. Also pick an accent bruv cameo apperances from Irish, Dutch, Swedish and yank accents today.
Cucurella has been great for us this season. Media narrative won't work in us Chelsea fans
missed the match, saw the pirated highlights, can't understand the issue with cucu
He was quality after he changed his boots just like he has been all season
Why Cucurela didn't " panic" even once more for the remaining 85-86 mins after changing his cleats?
Dont mind the lazy commentary, cucu is World Class
Then why after changing the boots he stopped slipping?
Where’s Stevie when Chelsea are winning
😂😂😂that's always my question......and Craig Burley....I refuse to believe he was a Chelsea player disgustingan😂😂
Off the chart 😅😅😅
Stevie is too overwhelmed by Liverpool. He can't acknowledge anyone else
Nahhh yannish cucu has been class all season
Maresca has made this Chelsea team look like prime Barcelona
