@@crissycreatesofficial I found one on Etsy. Is it possible to do the fabric pen without the glitter tips? Or is is easier your way? Your video is literally the only one on RUclips of a fabric pen. I’m a total newbie. I’ve never made a tumbler or anything but trying to tackle the pens :)

Don’t forget that Quick Coat is still toxic in its liquid form and the instructions recommend PPE for hands and face, to avoid irritations and long term health impacts.

Absolutely love this. Tip fabric is alot easier to cut with a exacto blade and easier to manage.

I just watched the video and I love how fast and easy this looks. My only concern is the bottle says to do outside and wear a respirator while working. I can’t work outside and wear a respirator while doing things in my sewing room. I was wondering just how much odor does this have. I have been trying to get odor less or minimal order so I don’t have to wear any masks it’s hard for me to work and breathe with one.
Odor depends on the resin you use. I do smell and odor with mine but I work from my garage and use a respirator with apply resin on my cups.

How well do pens hold up? Being as they’re goosed around and used all day. Rubbed continuously. Exposed to our hand oils etc.

I mainly use Cotton Lycra blend or 100% cotton
I’ve been waiting and watching for a fabric pen tutorial. I’ve attempted 12 pens so far 😂. So far 2 have been semi successful (successful enough for myself to use but still a little dimply). I have a couple curing right now. I think it’s my epoxy. I need to get a new epoxy bc the one I’m using now just takes so long to even mix. The mixing time is 5-6 min 🤦🏽♀️😭.
Oh my! That is a long mix time. I highly recommend CCDIY their resin works great for me.
@@crissycreatesofficial I know right. It’s then another 5min set after mixing it for 5-6 min. It takes about 4-6 hours to cure & I have a heater in the room to help speed it up. I’m seriously considering getting this fast set & the quick coat. It’s taken WAY to long to do a pen 😂. Literally days 😂
When you sprayed your cup after the glitter, did you spray the entire cup or just the glitter sections?
Your work is beautiful and it came out flawlessly. I tried to make a tumbler with fabric, but I don’t know why my fabric started spotting under my resin while is curing. Anyone know why?
Its most likely due to your fabric not being sealed completely. Spots will occur when resin is seeping into the fabric.
These are beautiful! I have always been intimidated by fabric on tumblers. I will need to give it a try. You make it look so easy.
I have a question about the tumbler shown to the right of the one featured in this tutorial. What glitter is that that you used that looks like mirror pieces? I love it!

I use quick coat for a lot of things so it’s worth the price point for me. Also keep in mind that all supplies used for your cups should be factored into the prices you charge 😄
Can I ask how you clean your brush after you used the epoxy on it? I love this cup and pen combo 🤩
Soak it in acetone to dissolve the resin.

I always trim but it’s a personal decision.

What did you use for the pens ? To hold them for epoxy application
Do you ever get bubbles in your resin?
Does it have to be a straight tumbler or would one with a slight curve work?

Good morning i tried this tumbler and when i put on the first round of epoxy i got plenty fish eyes..what can do to cover them or where did i went wrong
Can you used Modge Podge for the pen instead of quick coat?
