I just got into Meching in Battletech again last year, more seriously this time! Don't worry, I'll fill the skies with blind missiles for y'all. Kekeke
Mechanic 1: "So explain to me how this is a 'fire support' platform?" Mechanic 2: "Well you see, it supports the fire it causes in the cockpit the moment the pilot depresses the trigger!"
What good would it do them? Like what, two folks managed to kill him before he unleashed holy hell upon their faces? With every possible meta build there is for arena play? Can this be beaten? Sure. Good luck, though :D
@@FunkThompson "What good would it do them?" Rockets have a range where they do optimal damage. Not only that, they've got a minimum range penalty, to boot. Meta build is entirely irrelevant. A noob in a top-tier meta build still loses to a guy who knows what he's doing in a stock mech. In the case of this, all they need do is keep their distance damaging a leg, and when they can't any more, block with an arm or torso until they close where the missiles'll do lesser damage. The reason this works is because most people have no idea how rockets work, either entering without any concern for them, or panicking and doing something stupid. All that's needed to win these matches is to look at what you're fighting, and plan accordingly.
Especially because he overheated himself legging B33f, and the giant limping Bob-omb of death was still coming for him anyway. That must have been like shooting the wings off of an incoming airplane carrying a nuke, only to notice the plane is now crashing down on you.
I'm surprised more people didn't go for the legs. If the Stone Rhino had done that he would have had all the time in the world to pick you apart. That being said, this was hilarious, even if I know I would be absolutely livid if I were on the recieving end of this mech. Always enjoy your videos, B33F!
This Solaris arena has tons of rolling hills, which makes it really easy to protect the legs. I think the Stone Rhino made the right choice. (he did technically win)
This is another one of those OG mechs that originated from another series. the SDR-04 Destroid Phalanx from SDF Macross is it's origin. Overall role didn't change much, most of the Macross Mechs in Battletech are more or less still fulfilling the same role they did in their original IP. Always respecting Battletech for this. A series that started off borrowing visuals from other IPs with minimal to moderate change, and they've taken these variants and made them something truly unique.
Some of these kills you can see the fight drain out of your opponent right before the shot. Right about when lockon would have told them what your weapons are. Just that "Oh...oh thats bad though. I cant do anything about that, guess I die."
I fully imagine a marian legionary pilot running one of these things, and nicknaming it the "Cash-a-Pult" due to the sheer ammo costs he runs through for every sortie. People disdain this but this build is peak-mechwarrior. If it's crazy but works, it's going to be done, and this freaking works XD
Rockets are pretty cheap, the saved costs from other members in the unit due to the Cash-a-pult taking out a priority target can easily make up for it. Plus, all the areas the rockets didn't hit are intact (barring internal explosions) so that's good salvage as long as you aren't trying to get reactors anyhow.
One thing (amongst many) that I love about BattleTech and the later MechWarrior series is getting to see some of the old Macross and other 80's mecha in action
lol this is why we subscribe. No one comes close to your ability to make content with this game. All these years later and you are still innovating and adapting on the fly. Truly awe inspiring and terrifying at the same time. Hope everything's good. After your solaris tournament that they let you put up on their site, you streamed a few times then disappeared again and I was sad.
The match with the Stone Rhino that shared his view with you was some absolute peak gameplay and sportsmanship. Dude had you, blew himself up, and you are both laughing maniacally. Absolutely perfect.
I am terrified what B33f might cook up if the king of fire support, the Bane, ever comes to MWO or MW6. And what would be done with canonical variants even without further modifications.
Just got this on my front page, I remember watching all of your old videos like the Direstar, I thought you stopped with youtube so seeing this makes me happy
B33F how do you always come up with the wildest alpha builds possible. From the Dire Starrr to the Marian Monster, one shot is all he needs. You could call him One Shot Man.
The fact everyone except that last annihilator didnt try to destroy your legs reveals another hidden strategy. The honorable fool, instead of preventing your advance by easily picking away your mobility, they tried to attack your torso to limit the damage those rockets could do and maybe, to give you a proper duel. Unfortunately for them, "Fair fights are for suckers."
TLDR: Missile spam gives me toxic power gamer flashbacks. There was a player in my local battletech group. He was a 40k power gramer and would spam the most cheesiest ways of playing the game. One game he brought 5 clan missle mechs and just sat at the back of the map and fired hundreds of missiles every turn. Every mech I had was hit with hundreds of missiles over the entire game. My Atlas was hit with 187 missiles in a single turn. Thankfully I have shields that soaked up enough damage to let me get into melee range. I still lost, cause clan LRMs, but I got some pay back.
The clans took hundreds of years to push past the tech of the starleague to accomplish with the sphere did with dirt cheap rockets. Sounds about right. Edit: and as usual, the clan version is longer range!
Oh yeah, I did this the Stalker in the Battletech PC game. It was stronk with it's alpha strike, but not as obscene as this monster of a troll mech :3 Might have to snag my self a Longbow and spec it like this in Mercenaries then, if I ever get back in it that is.
I don't mech anymore, but I still love seeing theBeef around.
Same! just too entertaining
He has gotten better as well
Same
Seeing him mech again makes me want to mech again. But I satisfy that urge with HBS' Battletech rather than MWO...
I just got into Meching in Battletech again last year, more seriously this time! Don't worry, I'll fill the skies with blind missiles for y'all. Kekeke
b33f's barely restrained laughter at "the missile does *not* know where it is" got me.
I started dying the moment I realized the meme was being invoked XD
Mechanic 1: "So explain to me how this is a 'fire support' platform?"
Mechanic 2: "Well you see, it supports the fire it causes in the cockpit the moment the pilot depresses the trigger!"
The Trigger: "I'm not usually depressed but when I am the Mechwarrior is both happy and cooking."
The Longbow-OH SHI~
You know you have something special, when you can make your opponent cook their engine, even after you've shot your load and went to bed 😂
"How many rockets do you want on this Longbow?"
"...Yes."
"How many?"
"Yes."
got me laughing uncontrollably within the first 30 seconds
worth it
These guys really need to learn how to look at the paper doll and see "DEAR GOD THATS A LOT OF MISSILES"
Er…rockets. 🚀
What good would it do them? Like what, two folks managed to kill him before he unleashed holy hell upon their faces? With every possible meta build there is for arena play? Can this be beaten? Sure. Good luck, though :D

10/10 fight against MPG
I was about to go to sleep when this showed up in my feed.
Who needs sleep when you got the B33F doing B33F things?
That Ahni noticing your weapons was hilarious!
Especially because he overheated himself legging B33f, and the giant limping Bob-omb of death was still coming for him anyway. That must have been like shooting the wings off of an incoming airplane carrying a nuke, only to notice the plane is now crashing down on you.

I know. He had no way of protecting his legs.
Legging in not honorauble and forbidden by the Clan code. Wait...
This Solaris arena has tons of rolling hills, which makes it really easy to protect the legs. I think the Stone Rhino made the right choice. (he did technically win)
@@th3b33fOne of those joust where both pilots are found cooked in the cockpit after the match.
Man the B33F is THE meme machine of battletech.
Never change dude.

The Destroid, though, seemingly created missiles out of thin air. The number of missiles it could fire was just. plain. stupid. :D
Macross 4ever!!
Reminds me of the Civil War PTS days when Rocket Javs were oneshotting everything. The more things change the more they stay the same
Always interesting seeing a Macross Mech in the MechWarrior universe. SDR-04-Mk.XII Destroid Phalanx from the original 1982 Macross anime.
Clanners would adore this. Completely focused on killing a single enemy, in as flashy and extravagant a way as humanly possible.
Alternate Tukayyid: Clans bid down to a single mech, inner sphere brings this... thing.
The Solahma Suicide Build.
Thanks for being back, Beef. Love ya man.
Some of these kills you can see the fight drain out of your opponent right before the shot. Right about when lockon would have told them what your weapons are. Just that "Oh...oh thats bad though. I cant do anything about that, guess I die."
perfecting timing for lunchbreak video.. outstanding

Magic snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. That was hilarious. I've been there in MWO heh.
One thing (amongst many) that I love about BattleTech and the later MechWarrior series is getting to see some of the old Macross and other 80's mecha in action
Men beef really step up the production
Its like i watching Tex
Brings back robotech memories.
fudge you Harmony Gold for being copyright trolls.

The one guy who went oh god after seeing your loadout! =)
Undisputed best mwo content creator. Long live Da Beef!
Dude! I just researched all your old stuff. All masterpieces. Also like the new stuff! Keep it up. Cheers
The match with the Stone Rhino that shared his view with you was some absolute peak gameplay and sportsmanship. Dude had you, blew himself up, and you are both laughing maniacally. Absolutely perfect.
Thank you again for your wisdom, Maestro!

It's so gross, and I absolutely love it. I don't see how anyone could be mad at getting killed by this build, it's too funny.
I have no idea why it was recommended but it was great fun to watch!!
Just got this on my front page, I remember watching all of your old videos like the Direstar, I thought you stopped with youtube so seeing this makes me happy
This build is dueling god.
You sir, are a professional class troll. Well done.
I can see mountain of salt of Bassault from my home
'opponents gonna have a blast' 😂😂
B33F how do you always come up with the wildest alpha builds possible. From the Dire Starrr to the Marian Monster, one shot is all he needs.
You could call him One Shot Man.
Imagine if you will, a Longbow with an LMG in every single slot. Every silo, an LMG.
The fight we need...
Direstar vs Longbow.
Yesh
Local MechWarrior retires, takes on new career as salt farmer, news at 11.
Holy shit this is mean and I love it. Nothing like a Glass Cannon to make everyone laugh.
As soon as you said alternate way to deal with slope/narrow I was like take the legs. And what do ya know
Mother of God man
This... is my BOOMSTICK! lol
"Time for leg sweep" -- ayup.
We love you too, B33f! Wonderful Shenanigans again xD

I love people going "Oh god" as you approach. xD
Star League was mentioned! Awesome video Beef 😁
You had me at "This is the BEEF speaking...." ^^
I rarely play MWO now, but I will always love a big trolling video, nice vid!
Just imagine a higher tonnage like 100 ton Longbow. It will be able to mount Missiles instead of one time use Rockets. Absolute Missile Monster
i just found this channel through the main page. Is this- BattleTech chills?
I see B33f I click B33f.
As God intended
I love your Content with every bit of my Soul.
it looks INDENTICAL to the Spartan from Robotech or Macross Saga

that mechwarrior 4 weapon loading sound at 2:45 😎
letsss gooo for the loooooong bow
This is insanely cheesy and I love it. I thought it was just funny at first, but the arm shields man, that's some excellent cheese.
This is what happens when you extend the logic of the SRM/LRM carrier into a Battlemech.
Good Fight.
i had a toy that looked just like this, pretty sure it was this same mech. its a shame they don't make badass mech toys like this anymore.
I'm a simple man. I see B33F video? I click, simple as.
Damn BEEF it’s been a minute since I got an alert from you, glad to see you’re still going strong!!
b33f, your videos are so fun to watch, i am so happy you restarted the channel
It's good to know the salt is still high grade in MWO

Clan firewolf Jonas here. Really miss MechWarrior. Best online game I ever played. Jump sniper if anyone knows what that was.
This reminds me of Blonsky’s E-Frame from Exo-Squad in the 90’s.
i could never make this work, only beef has the skill for a build like this
this is a brainless build for noobs..
Megas XLR levels of missile mayhem. 😂
Holy shit, that overheat win was so good, haha!
theb33f truly has the mindset of a Clan MechWarrior his dueling skills are phenomenal 😮😎
LETS GO!
glory to Caesar O'Riley

new Beef video drop. gotta watch
Ah yes, the Dervish's bigger brother. Love to see it!
It's amusing how the game just straight up lags when he fires.
Honestly I’m suprised no one tried to remove a arm in an attempt to lower your alpha strike
