There is a lot of opportunity to pursuit your passion and that is whAt I enjoy about the University, both as a student (I earned BA,M.Ed.,degrees 16 years apart). Just to let y'all know, I still remember the tornados we had in Alabama, April 2011, especially tuscaloosa, and how many many Kent State students came to help out in the aftermath, very appreciative, it's now covid-19 in the year 2020, I just wish all those students well, hopefully they all went on to have great careers and still doing well in this pandemic
Let me give anyone who is looking to go here some tips and things to consider: -Try and shoot for at least a 2.75 GPA -Don't worry if you haven't taken the ACT or SAT -Also don't worry if you did poorly on the ACT or SAT if so don't submit your test scores -If you're someone with a lower GPA like me, make it up by writing a really good essay. -Make sure to not complain in anything on why your grades aren't higher or what not, this is a big red flag to schools. Be positive in your responses -Again, just focus on writing that essay. It's gonna help you a ton! I suggest you to write on your own topic, I wrote mine on my love for music. So find something you love or like and write on it! -Be aware Kent State takes a little bit longer than most schools to review admission decisions (due to the many amount of applications they receive!) Again I wish you all luck, if you need anymore help/assistance please feel free to let me know! Good luck folks
@@tori.walkergulley Update: steer away from this school, I've seen a lot of bad reviews and people saying the people here at this school don't care. I suggest you look at Western Illinois University if you want a cheap alternative... they have a super affordable tuition, and have no enrollment deposits. Good luck
Graduated in'89, BA; '05, M.Ed. then a tour of duty as a professor from2001-2019. It was a fun ride. Enjoyed it very much. Good luck to all who apply😊❤
They had just built the plaza and the student center and library when I was there. Campus is not that different than 1974 when I graduated. 1973 was a great year for concerts there.
