Despite his success in defeating all his enemies, Hyo thought there's something lacking in the eyes of the students he conquered. They didn't show the trust that Kyousuke had with Hyo - something that both of them used to have when they were kids. Hyo was then struck with headaches. There's another voice within him that screamed with pain in a dark cage, and he wondered if it's the solitude that 'ignorant people' talked about. The scene ended with Hyo wondering why Kyosuke would turn against him. This ending is probably 'uncanonical' because it does not fit the story line of the sequel. The seiyuu of Hyo, Mr. Kaneto Shiozawa, died from an accident shortly after the the recording of the sequel. Some of his roles were succeeded by his fellow co-workers in Rival Schools, including Mr. Takumi Yamazaki (Hayato), Mr. Isshin Chiba (Kyosuke), Mr. Ryoutarou Okiayu (Roy) and Mr. Toshiyuki Morikawa (Roberto).
