I could even see for storing overnight, getting a second tray and turning it over on the top and securing the two ends at the handles with some bulldog or binder clips
Thanks that is a good idea. I've never used the stay wet palette and the ones they sell on Amazon are too small. I would probably need to make 2-3 of them because I tend to use big canvases and end up mixing over a lot of space. I quit painting but here I am looking up more info about painting so if I ever start at it again I guess this is a method I might try!
Hello. I just start to paint, but getting frustrated because of very fast dry of the colors... And I wonder how much this will cost me to make my first canvas :-(. Here the solution very well explained, and it works just fine ! Painting gets back affordable for me ! Merci beaucoup
It seems all parchment paper comes with some form of none stick coating on it. Is there something specific we need to look out for when purchasing parchment paper??
you can use masking tape actually, you just have to cut your desired length first and paste and peel it off a blanket or piece of fabric (kind of like removing animal hairs off it) so that the little fabric bits are stuck to the tape. after you paste it onto the paper and peel it off, the paper shouldnt rip.
Brilliant: simple and effective. Wet pallete a must have with acrylics I have found. Thanks for the solution, Rod!
Thank you so much. I will now be able to work better. ❤
Watched this and popped right into my kitchen to make. Constructed this under two minutes. Thank you, from a beginner!
Brilliant! Thank you for posting this.
I just started with gouache. This was very helpful, thank you!
Ingenious! I'm off to the shops.
Thank you! I made a small one in a slim 5x7 plastic photo box so I can close it if I’ll be away awhile.
Thank you so much for this amazing video!!!

Thanks so much for the fabulous tip. I got everything needed at home. Best regards from Darwin.

Absolutely Brilliant!!! Appreciate it!!
Something like a pop socket on the bottom of the tray would make a nice handle for standing and holding the palette
Awesome solution, does everything a stay wet palette can do!
Great tip thanks for sharing 👍 5:52
“Baking PAPER”..not “Baking POWDER”....Hehehehe Hehehehe~. Great job!

Hi.Can you tell me which tape you use. Masking tape tears the paper surface I paint on.

Does it matter which side of the paper faces the wet towel?
Did you find the answer?
Can anyone offer an explanation why my baking paper, unwaxed, is drying at the edges and curling up? 😖
