About defending yourself from birds-A few years back there was a mentally unstable male goose that lived in the backyard of a house down the street from where I lived, and whenever anyone got close it flew at them squawking and tried to attack. The family who lived in that house had two small kids and they couldn’t go outside for fear of being ripped apart by a psychopath goose. And I was on a walk with my parents and my little brother one day and he was going ahead of us on his bike. I said something to the effect of “Imagine if the goose comes out and chases him.” The words had barely exited my mouth when I heard a hiss and saw down the road as this fat goose was flying after my brother, who was pedaling away at top speed screaming. My dad ran after him, picked up a big rock laying in somebody’s yard and chased down the goose. When it tried to bite him, he smacked it with the rock and it flew away. To this day it’s still the coolest thing my dad has ever done. Moral of the story-punch birds if they attack you. It works.
Cogger's American accent is so good though, when he commentated wii sports basketball was the closest Ive ever seen any australian come to a perfect american accent
Have you seen The Boys? Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, does an impeccable American accent whereas, in reality, he’s from New Zealand! Not exactly Australia, but it’s still cool.
Brit here! We have a very wide range of accents that sound nothing like eachother and yet Zack still managed to sound like none of them. Closest thing would have been a west country farmer with brain damage. Question for the next pod though as I'm sure others will be interested - do you have a lot of accent variation is Aus? Are there any areas that you would mock for their accent like we mock the scousers or geordies for speaking basically a different language?
Its always interesting to hear how different countries have different grocery store culture. Like, here in Germany if you want the cashier to bag your groceries for you you're gonna get laughed at and told to leave lmao.
Just based off the title you guys should watch the movie “Her”. It’s basically about this man who installs this computer program that’s basically like Siri expect 100x more advanced, even capable of having some sort of human emotions. And the man falls in love with it. It’s really good bc it shows that while the love is real they are too different for the relationship to be properly functioning and sustainable. It’s great.

Regarding the "How would you change up pokemon" bit, I'd add difficulty options for your playthrough. Similar to B2/W2s Hard/Easy modes but expanded upon. Give us 4 or 5 difficulty options to choose from which don't just affect enemy pokemon level but also their movesets, EV spreads, makes the AI smarter, and so on. Give us a built-in permadeath option or even go so far as to limit the amount of healing items one can buy at any given market. Just *anything* that makes a playthrough more unique, interesting and, most of all, challenging.
@@Quatro921 A) People will introduce permadeath as an option anyways with nuzlockes, the want for a feature like optional permadeath is clearly pretty high with how often it's featured in challenge runs B) Nintendo has already used permadeath in fire emblem, one of their larger RPG's aside from pokemon. It's not like they're strangers to the concept.
@@JacobPDeIiNoNi I think the reason there's permadeath in Fire Emblem and not pokemon would have to be the age rating. I’m gonna say something that might be a bit of a hot take, but as a true OG underdogs enjoyer I feel should be said. I feel like the whole bit about Jordan being dumb is kind of getting stale at this point and I find myself feeling uncomfortable rather than laughing. Zach seems to be catching on to it as well but lately Peter and Jackson just seem sort of relentless with their digs at Jordan… it reminds me of high school in that some kids felt the need to put others down to make themselves look/feel cooler by comparison. I don’t think that the things Jordan says are as ridiculous as Cog/Hop make them out to be, which to be fair, could be just part of the bit, but idk it kind of leaves a bitter aftertaste on what is usually my favorite upload of the week from you guys. Still loving the content as always, probably gonna rewatch this a bunch like I do your other videos, but maybe cool it with the Jordan roasts. Trust me, being the butt of the joke adds up, even when it’s done ironically or the person leans into it. Keep up the great work fellas!
Agreed. I think Zach just bursting out laughing in this video because Jordan's comments are so unexpected or unusual (and therefore funny) is fine and exactly what I would do, but there is definitely a high-school-level of insulting going on a lot of the time.
I love the discussion on martial arts and wrestling. As someone who loved wrestling on his high school team I would be happy to fly out to Australia and do some coaching and refereeing for you guys.
this podcast is giving me life i'm cracking uo way too hard on some of this stuff also: the sheer disappointment in coggers "what" at 53:07 also also: the animal date and art mixed with cogger's art shows are actually great🔥
Super late to this, but the formula shakeups in Pokemon Reborn are a large part of why I consider it my favorite Pokemon game...no fakemon other than boss fights with in universe reasons to exist and can't be caught, and utilize the field effects you see in the show as an actual part of battle...makes it a lot more interesting. Amazing work for a fangame, just difficult.
So the robot conversation is actually very interesting, because robots can never replicate the feeling of a living creature, no matter how close it is, you can always tell something is fundamentally wrong, because it's all in the confines of its programming. But the idea of it *actually* being where you can't tell the difference, then the robot is clearly better, but Jordan is still in between, where he's saying that it's indistinguishable, but still feels like he would have that uncanny feeling knowing it's a robot.
Yo Jordan that’s hype, jujitsu is low-key the most practical and useful/effective martial art. Also, I hate reality tv shows but your guys’ ideas were pretty funny.
Every video that passes I can't help but feel like Jordan and I seem so much alike. Like, LITERALLY so much. Except for preferring food tablets over real food. Food's gotta taste good
My big change to Pokemon would be allowing Pokemon to have more than just two types so that you don't get things that make no sense like the Pokemon that's literally a wrestler NOT being a fighting type.
I would make a reality show in which either wine testers or art experts have to pick between a large amount of samples, which do they think are actually good wines or paintings made by actual artists.
Pet pairing name idea - Man's Best Friend Have an art gallery with artists' art and kids' art, and make it a gameshow called Toddlers v Talents EDIT: I love accents.
My hot take massive change to Pokémon is to remove levels/stat change from levels. Every Pokémon is equal level so no need to worry about scaling, still have some sort of xp system for evolutions, but just kind of make it so you can’t just over level the main story gym leaders and steam roll them
I can say as an Irish viewer Irish accents are nothing like zack's. Basically what u do to do a a good Irish accent (South Irish anyway) just only talk from 1 side of ur mouth then ur good
To anyone who liked Jordan's idea of changing pokemon, you should check out custom robo games, they haven't made a new one since the ds. But if feels a lot what he described.

Australia?
37:49 the way Jackson laughs here is so contagiously hilarious
