Crazy how different of an experience I had with the blueprint s when I got fit. I struggle with a left miss and the blueprint held its line so much better for me than every other model. Mizuno 243 I launched too low and didn’t spin enough for me.
When I did my fitting with club champion. My top 3 or 4 were Mizuno Pro 243, Blue print S and T150/100. I went with the Mizuno Pro 243’s for me was feel, dispersion and also how it felt when I miss hit it. I think though it’s what you are drawn to with a mix of what you like and feel. There were alot of irons in the test I hit but right away I did not like the feel so I pushed them away and honestly numbers don’t lie either lol.
I guess you were using the new Wilson Model CB's and not the older version, as you pictured ( which are in my bag ). Wilson are killing it at the moment
Why you get fitted: I was longer, with less spin and shallower decent angle with ZX7 MKII than I was with T150 and why I went T150 in the end (also top line helped). Opposite of Ian.
Been playing King Tours for almost a year. They are bent 2° weak, 6i 30°, to get the spin numbers I need. I was surprised that even bent to more traditional lofts, I only lost 4-5 yards of carry over my previous clubs that are 4° stronger across the set. Really enjoying my Cobras.
Well, I was fitted. Hit some of these, not others. The fitter wanted me to buy the Callaway Paradym graphite shaft. Just was not sold on it. Went with the Mizuno forged 243, which I hit well, and spin was better than Titleist 200, and bigger hits
Would be nice to see a comparison of the new TM p770, PXG 0317 t, Titleist T150, Ping i230, Callaway Apex pro, Mizuno Jpx923 forged, etc. It’s an interesting category and would love to see the results !
I love Mizuno and currently have MP 20 MMC but looking for my next set. Am I the only that thinks Mizuno Pro 243 is a bit of a "regurgitation" of MP 25's? Boron vs Chromolly, semi-hollow cavity back and the shape in the back, etc. Honestly, I expected more from Mizuno.
I've played them for over 2 years but assumed they weren't that forgiving compared to the newer tech ie T100 etc ... embarrassing to admit being a massive club junkie 😅
@@Y333HJMS Yeah, the T100 are shocking not as forgiving as I was lead to believe. I think I'll stick to pure cavity backs or blades from now on. No more hollow body or microslot irons for me
I would take, and were my choice and in the bag, the T150's. Pretty much hit them all of these at the fitting, look and overall feel won me over. Mizuno close second, followed by the Srixon's. It is an individual consistency and feel thing, not that one is any better than the other..
Why not include the old trusty Titleist CBs? I would classify the t100 and t150s as hollow bodied. The CB is an absolute classic and mostly unchanged over the last few years.
After playing the T100s for a year, I would agree that they are closer to hollow body irons than cavity backs. They just don't have the same feel as a CB or MB. I'll probably go back to something like the Mizuno 925 Tours eventually
I’ve been gaming the TC 201 since I was a mid teens handicap. Now that I’m mid single digit I want something with just a bit more forgiveness. Any recs?
I really enjoy your videos and have been to your Toronto facilities and they’re amazing. BUT it would’ve been cool if Titleist 620 CB was included in this video. Maybe you have them in another video, but they won 2 majors in 2023 and are still available for custom order from Titleist (as of Oct ‘24). So it seems like this would be a pretty good choice as a players CB!
Do you feel some irons produce more bigger flyer shots than others! It really is a genuine question as I feel sometimes some irons I’ve played on the course do produce massive flyers and I will be interested to know which irons produce less flyers if that’s possible
Does the new Taylormade replace the P7MC or more-so the P760? Tried and loved the P7MC but hesitant to pull the trigger with a new possible model coming out
How big of a difference is there between the Nippon 1150gh taper stiff shaft and the dynamic gold mid 115 S300? Just curious if anyone has used either before
What if the next Titleist Iron release introduces a slightly larger version of the T-150 with the satin finish and multi-piece design and a load of tungsten? All Irons tested are excellent choices
Long story short, everyone’s making pretty much the same irons. What it comes down to is what you like to look down at, and what *feels* better than the rest.
I don't understand you guys sometimes. If this is a best of players cavity back video then why are you hitting the T150 instead of the 620CB which is the Titleist players cavity back??

Would be nice to see a comparison of the new TM p770, PXG 0317 t, Titleist T150, Ping i230, Callaway Apex pro, Mizuno Jpx923 forged, etc.
It’s an interesting category and would love to see the results !
Play the apex cb and let me tell you they are buttery. Excellent spin and launch. Just really hard to beat. So consistent as well.
I'm just going to order 1 of each 4-p
Can you recommend which to put in which iron slot? Like ... cobra 4i, mizuno 5i, etc?
Have you changed the lofts through out your set of Mizuno 243’s??
This is the most exciting class - my favourity. I would have liked to see the 620CB instead of the T150
Tremendous video. Well done. Really looking forward to the Taylormade launch end of month. The new CB’s look nice.
Is it safe to say that a shorter blade length is easier to turn over compared to a longer blade length?
The only thing that might get my Mizuno out the bag is the new taylormade irons coming out
Miura TC201s are still the best performing per CoolClubs. I know fitting is the most important aspect, but their dispersion is just ridiculous
No more hollow body or microslot irons for me
I'd love to see you boys put some Toura JCB irons against the equivalent Muria irons. Both are handmade Japanese irons.
I think this goes to show when you are as good as Ian it doesn’t matter what irons you hit…. Wish I could swing like that
Do the Blueprint S have the heel tungsten in the hosel like the Blueprint? Curious if that makes them easier to turn over.
Idk, but I love mine. Can't shut up about them haha
I’ve been gaming the TC 201 since I was a mid teens handicap. Now that I’m mid single digit I want something with just a bit more forgiveness. Any recs?
T150, King Tour, Wilson CB.
@@ianfrasergolf Been eyeing the T150's! Thank you!!
Thanks guys. 👍
PXG is the 0317CB
Correct
Is 2 degrees toe down normal? When would you need to start adjusting lie angle?
Ian needs to do a video and break down his iron swing. Looks so effortless and great tempo. Think it would help.
T150 is the new Golden Retriever!!!! 😂😂😂😂
Do you feel some irons produce more bigger flyer shots than others! It really is a genuine question as I feel sometimes some irons I’ve played on the course do produce massive flyers and I will be interested to know which irons produce less flyers if that’s possible
I play Blueprint s my son has ordered Ben Hogan PXT pro tour they look terrific you should include them in any other tests
Srixon ZX7 MKII
Should try the Maltby DBM’s 👀
Does the new Taylormade replace the P7MC or more-so the P760? Tried and loved the P7MC but hesitant to pull the trigger with a new possible model coming out
Unreal Mizuno dispersion for spin, launch, length. Swung like a robot as well😅
Mikey is the flag planter.... Loves to try and influence a fit IMO... Let the fit be the fit without bias...
Just ordered the t200. Hopefully under 3 weeks I'll get them
Would love to see a Miura comparison of 501 v the 301.
Have y’all looked at the Cleveland Zipcore XL at all?
How big of a difference is there between the Nippon 1150gh taper stiff shaft and the dynamic gold mid 115 S300? Just curious if anyone has used either before
What shaft was used in the irons?
There isn't really one better than the other. Just depends on your budget, really.
When the 0317s price drop when the new ones come out I’m adding them to the bag. Shouldn’t be too long now they’ve been out for a bit
I've found great success taking a fast iron (like T150) and bending them a few degrees weak. Stupid easy launch and spin where it should be.
the answer is t150 & t100 combo
Nice set, lots would do well with that combo. But didn’t work best for me.
Will these neat my maxfli revolution black dots from the 90s though
Ehhhh yes they would, 😂!!
Love my 243s!
Are the offsets all the same?
I wish Maltby was more in these videos.
I know you wont have them for fittings etc but would be interesting to see how a DTC brand did v these for half the money like Takomo CB's
I have never seen an iron hit with such an open toe on the left foot. That's just insane. You're literally trying hit this thing like a driver.
What if the next Titleist Iron release introduces a slightly larger version of the T-150 with the satin finish and multi-piece design and a load of tungsten? All Irons tested are excellent choices
Sounds like a T200
They wouldn’t. T-150 is already a larger version of a smaller framework (T-100)
@@ianfrasergolfToo shiny 😂 150 is perfect
@@ianfrasergolf If only for a satin finish!
@@TheDeepsilveryou can make any iron a satin finish pretty easily
No titleist CB? I play them and would like to see the comparison
wouldve loved to see it too :(
Lol everyone interested now that everyone is winning with the Titleist CBs
@@samuelplaysgolfThe Titleist CB is from the 620 line up which is a few years old. They no longer make a CB in their current line up
@@sethmcgregor5086you can still order 620CBs of the Titleist website. Stop spouting nonsense mate
@@sethmcgregor5086 they are current I believe and available on the official website
Long story short, everyone’s making pretty much the same irons. What it comes down to is what you like to look down at, and what *feels* better than the rest.
New WITB when P7CB gets released?
Must be the p7cb that was on the tour truck at the open. Proper looker of an iron.
Is that the 2021 model Wilson Staff CB or the 2024?
2021 - I play them and they are fantastic
@@treqjosh they pictured the ‘21 model in the vid but actually hit the ‘24 model. Weird.
@@miken2686 that's what thew me!
We hit the 24 model.
I don't understand you guys sometimes. If this is a best of players cavity back video then why are you hitting the T150 instead of the 620CB which is the Titleist players cavity back??
