Bethesda should've continued the Fallout universe in Starfield, "humanity rose from the radioactive ash, facing general ecological collapse it took to the stars and left a dead cradle"
So pretty much Earth ended up like Mars because Mars used to have an atmosphere until it disappeared and everything on it died. So history just repeated itself on earth so humanity had no choice but to move to Mars and try to find new Earth like planets they can live on which they accomplished and colonized multiple solar systems.
what a sad story for mother earth 🌎 and now shes a legend that everyone will speak about the mass waters and lands and beautiful cities and tropical paradises all gone within a nut shell 😢 i truly believe this is going to happen in real life for earth's future
Mars has no magnetosphere, neither does the moon.. Why move everyone off Earth when you could easily do there what you did on mars and the moon? Much easier than moving the whole population. Typical Bethesda writing. Oh well.
a little context: Fallout 4 takes place in 2287 Starfield is in 2300s No animals, no plants, nothing living. not even the mutated abominations of fallout. so I guess we can put the "starfield is the universe beyond the sky of Fallout" theory... Unless... bethesda slaps some vault-tec easter eggs in unexplored locations on earth
Bethesda has already said prior to Starfield releasing that the Starfield Universe isn’t connected to either Fallout or The Elder Scrolls universe in any way. I know because I was once convinced that Starfield was going to be basically Fallout in space thanks in large part to the whole Space mural in the Museum of Freedom in Falling 4, but BGS then clarified they weren’t connected.
Just a reason for developers to skip Earth content. It takes a lot to develop the whole earth. Can you imagine Earth size GTA or Cyberpunk, there is no solid procedurally generated environment with good interior. That the main setback for metaverse or twin city.

The artifacts hold the answer to your question...
No ressource or technology to save earth but enough to leave and settle/terraform colonies in another star system in less than 150 years?
I think you can see Earth from the Moon however it's not the blue marble we're used to and now it looks like a dull version of Mars but I'm 99% sure I saw Earth when I landed on the moon.
Theres a bunch if ruins. You just have to accept the quests for them.
Bethesda should've continued the Fallout universe in Starfield, "humanity rose from the radioactive ash, facing general ecological collapse it took to the stars and left a dead cradle"
i found a cave on earth that had glowing mushrooms and some nasty looking eggs and the squishing sound was gross
I landed in what was North America in New York and found the Empire State Building still there
Did anyone notice they basically took the "Lost in space" reason why they left earth? I thought It was interesting 😁
Who would have thought it was NICK VALENTINE who’s responsible for destroying earth’s atmosphere 🤷🏻♂️
Still preferred a futuristic Earth as opposed to the dead Earth trope. Less work for the Devs l, but I'm hope there will be a mod.
You cant see earth from the moon.....? Why do i feel like not even going now lol.
you can, i definitely saw it
I feel like you're giving Bethesda way too much credit to assume they built any landmarks.
Hey any chance you can check South Africa in this game 😂 I would like to see what is over there in a few thousand years
and with the flight to earth the game end to me, Todd Howard, I hate you.
Well... Magnetosphere disparition is not for so soon... More for 800 millions years :D
You and epicnate315 sounds very alike
I can't believe they f up earth.
Anyone found The Grand Canyon yet?
I can see earth from my outpost on the moon. It just looks like the moon though because of the color but it's there
You can see the Earth from the Moon. He probably landed on the other side of the moon so the Earth can't be seen from there.
I landed in multiple spots that were facing Earth, it's probably just a rendering bug for the skybox
You can see the earth from the moon but for some reason it’s uncommon, and it’s small. Very small
what a sad story for mother earth 🌎
and now shes a legend that everyone will speak about
the mass waters and lands and beautiful cities and tropical paradises all gone within a nut shell 😢
i truly believe this is going to happen in real life for earth's future
Mars has no magnetosphere, neither does the moon.. Why move everyone off Earth when you could easily do there what you did on mars and the moon? Much easier than moving the whole population. Typical Bethesda writing. Oh well.
Let me mark on the map another settlement need you're help
I hope there's a mod or dlc story mission is to find a ancient alien terraforming technology and use it to restore earth back to it's former glory.🌎
Earth got hit by the biggest disaster ever... Bethesda lazy design.
a little context:
Fallout 4 takes place in 2287
Starfield is in 2300s
No animals, no plants, nothing living.
not even the mutated abominations of fallout.
so I guess we can put the "starfield is the universe beyond the sky of Fallout" theory...
Unless... bethesda slaps some vault-tec easter eggs in unexplored locations on earth
New iniciative: Revive earth
The real story for what happened to Earth is revealed elsewhere in the game. I won't spoil it
Ik what happened I explained it but deleted it cause I don’t wanna be a villain but if you see this finish the main quest
And so the lore videos begin, that was stupidly fast
i just landed on earth chose UK as my landing area, its a desert and theres no OXYGEN! what the?
you can see earth from the moon. ya gotta be in the correct spot. its very small.
sounds to me like they were too lazy to build any city so they decided to just get rid of earth
I’m going to be honest, the moment I found out earth was uninhabited it almost killed it for me.
It just seemed like “Oh of course it is, because no one can think of anything original other than, our home is dead” biggest eye roll ever.
