Uploaded in honor of Lāčplēša Diena (Lāčplēsis Day) which is today 11/11. It celebrates the victory of a heavily outnumbered Latvian army over the armies of Russian-German warlord Pavel Bermondt. On November 11th 1919 they achieved victory. The day is named after a Latvian legendary hero Lāčplēsis, the son of a lord who got his name by slaying a bear with his hands. He then fought against the Germans and won many victories. There is a lot more to the story. This is just a very short summary
