JUST AN FYI, I DID THE SAME TESTING WITH 1 HIT WEAPONS (WEST WIND) and the dmg was the SAME on ALL Frame rates SO it looks like it affects multi attack weapons and skills!

I think it depends on your monitor hz if your hz is higher then higher dmg even above 120 fps

I'm on S23+ and I can certainly say I don't get 60fps all the time, especially when fighting those 2 fking wolves. In fact, IIRC the game defaulted to 30 fps lock, at least mine did and I had to change the settings 😂😂

You can see the total number of hits registered on the left
20 fps = 8-10 hits
60 fps = 14 -18 hits
120 fps = 18-20 hits

@@PayneBladeNo it's not the framerate. It's the back attack. The more accurate the back attack, the more hits you get on the target it seems Payne. Rewatch the video and you'll see whenever you hit a perfect Back Attack is when you did the most damage. When your on the side or in front of the target you do alot less damage.
@@Blinkurdead What? He literally did perfect back attack at 20 fps then changed from 20 to 60 fps did shadow step to the side and his DMG increase from 109k to 262k.

Now knowing this i'll blame the wolfs map (It lags, so bad when looking at the back of the map for no reason) for not being able to kill them in time. (I'm copping)
It's maxed out what you're getting with 120 and above are near identical, even the fluctuations are about the same. Most likely the reason the lowest FPS 20-30 is giving such a low output is just because of the animation since some may not be registering. While 60-120 are giving out near the same is just because the animations come smoother and the app recognizes the animation hits much better. As we know, lower FPS likely means missing frames, and likely that the algorithm tries to match the movement of the attack to the enemies hit box via the flow of movement and not just the final hits it lands on the hit box, that's why you get less damage with lower FPS and near identical damages (and higher damage than the lower fps settings) with both 60-120.
yea I did a test with just a single target atk weapon and it registered the same dmg throughout

I've never notice this "bug", not until I watched a 34s Igris kill video from LichStream. In the comment section some guy mention he couldn't do nowhere near as much damage as the video depsite having an identical setup doing the same thing. Lich then mention about whether the guy was playing on phone or not and he talked about playing on PC having better damage for some reason. And just hour later I saw Nat's video, and now yours.
I've heard about these kinds of problems before where the game code is somewhat tied to ingame FPS. I think it will more likely to happen to multi-hit skill, each skill have a set damage "tick" (eg 0.05s per damage tick), but current game code will only register the attack that happen in the frame that being produced by the graphic card. So the more FPS your game is playing at, the more chance of those tick being register, the more damage you got.
18:57 There're probably 3 possible reasons to why you didn't do more damage:
1- You already approach the maxium possible tick count of the bow skill.
2- Your PC couldn't push more FPS depsite you increase the FPS limit to 1000. Since you didn't have any FPS counter, we don't really know what was the actual FPS your game playing at. From my experience, these kind of game will greatly benefit from CPU like Ryzen 7800X3D/ Intel 14900K. Probably you could potentially have another 100k more damage lol.
3- The bow skill track enemies hit box as well, so to do the most damage, you need to aim the skill in a way that make the arrow hit the whole length of the bear (from butt to head). I noticed that when you hit the bear from the side you do less damage.
Why do this was even a thing? Well as we can already see this game was full of bugs. So a spaghetti line of code getting under the radar is no suprise here. Hopefully they will fix this soon

@@00_The_Black_Swordsman hmmm i think there's a option to uncapp your fps in the radeon andrenaline software as well.
I have a feeling Payne's lower damage results on 60 FPS were pure coincidence and he actually did all his runs at 60 FPS.
The option in Nvidia control panel for max FPS does not automatically override the in-game 60 FPS cap. At least it doesn't for me.
You have to somehow uncap the game's FPS first.

Tested this with my mobile, Samsung Galaxy s21. My FPS ingames was somehow set on 30 fps and i never changed it. I did the sames test as Payne did and changed it to 60 fps for the second test part. AND GUYS AND GIRLS, IT ALSO INCREASED MY DPS ON MOBILE.

In the ingame settings, you can change between 30 and 60 fps.

I think this is because during low fps, the game remove some attack animations? Thats why it only happens to multi attack. If hit is connected to attack animation then the low fps "bug" make sense
This could explain why I can't seem to beat the doublr wolf dungeon easily despite being way above the recommended power level. I will definitely be checking what fps my laptop runs at as I've never bothered to look since it wasn't lagging.

This FPS thing has been going on for a couple of games.
Like in Resident Evil 2 Remake, playing on a higher frame rate increases the damage done by knife attacks.
I was thinking that higher fps just increases the calculated times that an attack hits the enemy per frame?

just tested this out , and while not a HUGE expoilt , it did help a little.. I've been stuck on Battle field of time Igris with a time of 3:30, it shaved 20 seconds off my kill speed . which got me into the next award category . Now if I could only figure out how you got auto mining on PC

i think the better the hardware, the better the 'bug' will be. on paynes end, his game probably ran about 120 fps (even uncapped) so thats probably why his numbers were kinda the same after 120

I think you have time to consider also how wide the target is. So when u hit the bear from the side the multiple hits wont go through the whole body of the bear( i dont know how to expalin properly excuse myself) but that seemed to make a huge difference could u maybe experiment on that? So shadow step right behind the bear not a side angle. Love ur videos help alot ❤️

There is a similar issue on a game like destiny 2 where a higher framerate make you take more damage so this issue is seen in many games

it's the number of hits done by the piercing arrow. too low FPS = arrow passes through the boss once or twice only

I have to ask what is the hz of your monitor because this increase in dmg relative to frames is something that happens commonly in games, one instance where this is well known is in resident evil 4 remake where if you increase your framerate in-game this will result in your melee doing more dmg. this happens because of the game tying dmg to frames which is weird but its common for some reason. there is also a seperate category in re4 for this in speedrunning.

i retried BoT igris for more than 50x trying to reach the same dmg of others with light bow having in mind that its only because of crit rng. but after discovering thats its really have something to do with refresh rate, i just lost motivation to keep trying cauz i cant do anything about it anymore, its a boundary that i cant get over with
this even not a competitive game, it should only be applicable on games like shooting games, similar game like genshin never had this kind of issue

I'm pretty sure it's just a problem reading all the single hits of the skill with low fps, the more fps the more single hits the game can read so more dmg. Still a huge bug, need a fix asap

the weird part in this game is fps its based on your monitor hz at least thats the case for me didnt see an option ingame to change it had a problem with gpu temp and wanted to decreas fps thru nvidia pannel but then the game was in slowmo a few days later i had a thought what if i decreas my monitor refresh rate put to lowest 100 and now my fps are 100 without slowmo the funny thing about this is my gpu wasnt so hot becaus of high fps ingame was everything auto on highest graphics and i did not see that the scale was on 1.4 set it afterwards on 1.0 and now everything is fine with the heat of gpu
as he showed in the beginning of the game you can't change the fps to what he did it has to be through NVidia in game will always stay "capped" 30 or 60 depending on what you choose in actual game settings

Damage tied to fps is pretty common. I know warframe also tied their damage and damage caps to fps. Someone found out you can remove boss' damage caps when you play below 20 fps.

in 1000 fps try it in fullscreen, in theory fullscreen is better for fps and performance in others games, and i notice the damage is higher or lower because bear take less or more hits, lower fps miss more hits

So we can say that the increased fps increases the average damage dealt to opponents. By the way i play at around 20 fps to 30 fps

I had been playing on the lowest graphics at 30fps since i started the game so changed to 60fps to see if this worked and the only difference ive experienced is that i can nolonger get the timing for a perfect dodge right lol.

Unbelievable. Couldn't kill Tier 9 Cerberus, now I can at 186K team power with Nam,Alicia,Chae just with the fps jump. Something to note, I jump back and forth between Mobile and PC. Depending on your phone, it switches my fps down to 30 and defaults it even when you go back to PC. Make sure to check and change every time you log in !
it's not a bug or a problem with the game , mostly it happens by way or another in allot of games even if the player base doesn't recognize it
it have something to do with frames and latency and in games like SLA it makes a difference in damage dealt/done so the only way to fix it i blv is by making the the combos and damage done fixed numbers or hits which is going to change the whole game concept

It caps at your monitor's refresh rate if you really want to test it you need 500hz monitor to be sure

Even worse for mobile as I play on a iPhone 13 which is by no means a slow phone and on the lowest graphic settings I HAVE to play on 30 fps to get relatively consistent fps, and even then it sometimes still lags

I've been stuck on stage 15.4 for days, then borrow my wife S24 Ultra cheese right through finish chapter 15. I thought better FPS make me dodge better, then I watch this youtube. SLA is my game because auto can be played on my old Note 10, I was wrong.
