Is Yena a shy type of person? She's different from the others. She's only looking at the mic while singing. Unlike the other members, moving their heads while singing. ._.
yena is a rapper and dsp is barely giving her lines/no rap lines so shes losing self confidence still to this day. even if there were rap parts in the song, dsp wont give her any lines. it just breaks my heart to see yena watching her members sing their solo parts while she barely has any solo parts
Honestly, this group could've been the same with just the top group and the girl in the middle on the bottom. The other 2 girls had no solo lines at all and 1 of them didn't even have a single line that wasn't shared with the rest of the group.
Just like how in every choir, not everyone can be a soprano (highest range)... Yena does the base voice (lowest range) in April. So her voice doesnt suit for solo lines cause its low and husky... in their album, Yena does the background ad libs and the rap over the verses in the Thriller track. And she is also the main dancer. Hyun Joo shares her lines with Naeun in Dream Candy, cause her voice alone is too soft. And it needs to be stronger or the house beat will shadow it. In their other songs, Hurry Hurry, Feeling, and, Luv Me x3... Hyun Joo sings a full verse alone. So it really depends on the song. She is also the main visual. Naeun has an auto (middle range) voice, so very often she sings together with someone to complement their voice, but always has her own lines. The other three are the main (Somin, Chaewon) and lead (Jinsol) singers. They will be on most of the song. Its the structure of the group. But everyone in April has their own part to fulfill (^_^)

In their album, on the song Thriller, she is the rapper during the verses. As for Hyun Joo (bottom right, main visual, always nearest the photographers in interviews) she has 4 lines in this song, but on their other tracks, Hurry Hurry and Feeling, she has a full verse alone, Also for Naeun (middle, face of the group) different songs she sings more. The three top ones will always get more lines, they are the main and lead vocals. Somin (leader, top left), Chaewon (main vocal, top middle), Jinsol (maknae, lead vocal). So everyone in April have their share of the work.
