I own one but I haven't had a use for it yet so I can't say if it is any good or not, but if you want one I would get it ASAP because it looks like Redback is pulling out of the American market. You can get the saw, 2Ah battery and charger for $100 with free shipping. That is an unbelievable price and well worth the gamble.
@@Pro1er I bought a Redback pole pruner several years ago, and the thing doesn’t work. It’s never been used. Now they’ve pulled out of the American market. Wonderful! Where do I get this useless thing fixed now?
@@alan30189 I would not expect a reply but here is an email contact: info@redbackpower.com You can also try this link: www.redbackpower.com/index.php?route=common/contact It's unlikely the tool left the factory with a motor problem, my guess is if you are handy you can fix it yourself, It is most likely a power problem. Make sure the battery is making contact with the terminals. Failing that, check for continuity in the switch and check for lose wires. As a last resort you can take it to your local OPE dealer and see if they will give you a free repair estimate. Good luck.
I am familiar with battery chainsaws and that looks like it has a ton of torque!
