Beeeen trying to import a CSV file and I wondered why are the steps were not working. Turns out, I did not specify my file name by adding .CSV to it 😂 unnecessary thing to be stuck on but, I’m glad I finally got it. Took watching this video to see that. Thank you.
This was so helpful!!! I have been struggling for days now to be able to import my data correctly, and your instructions were to the point! Thanks a lot!
the rub of it is knowing about libraries also. If your file is in a library then this process is somewhat null & void, but awesome to know if you just have your own files you're working with, which is probably the case 99% of the time when you use R in the real world....you have your own data you collected from some source like the cdc or the bureau of justice statistics for example. I think the R learning process is giving "the libraries" way way way too much credit and glory so far.
Best explanation ever!!!!!! Just by watching this video and following the steps accordingly, I was able to upload two datasets to Rstudio effortlessly. Thank you.
Nice, I love the way you describe each part of what your doing, and why. I'm learning for the first time and you make it easy for me to follow along in " R". Thankyou
you are a life saver, i am doing statistics with R at my university this term and i was having a hard time trying to figure out the code to read the data on the CSV files and how to view them on the R studio, please make more videos like this thank you once again.
Glad I could help! Statistics and programming in R is not my main area of expertise; I'm a practitioner of biostats rather than an expert. I put together videos as my students need them (easier to refer here than teach the same thing time and again :-) ). Anyway, when the opportunity presents to upload more useful tips, I will.
Your video is just what I was looking for! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and explaining so clearly! You saved me so many hours of banging my head against the wall
Thank you indeed you are a life saver. I have my dateline coming up and up was so frustrated for 4days and you gave like .... easy pizzy lemon queezy does it easy...
Thank you for this. Straight forward and easy to understand. I have one question. You opened a script to input your data, can I do the same with opening a notebook?
you are the first person to have shown to set your working directory in R. thank you. You must be a real academician, but, Riddle me this R wonder woman. Why do all the rows of data show up in the source pane when you click on the file in environment, but get maxed out in the console when you run the file from a script in the source pane ?
Hi Charlie I have an issue loading a csv into my r notebook. Every time I load it in, everything gets loaded skewed to the left. I am also using a MacBook. Would you be able to shed some light on why I might be getting my dataframe to show like that?
This is like the 100th search, and yet the best one. Thank you Charlene!
1001th search lol
Within not even a minute you have explained this better than 3 pages of my university-supplied "tutorial"!!!! Instant thumbs up and subscribe 10/10
Spent about an hour searching for help. This was exactly what I needed, thank you!!
