Hey Mate, just landed on your Satisfactory Starter Series and it´s so helpful. I hope that you will really continue the series, even if the 1.0 release will be soon. Greetings from Germany
Just started the game in anticipation for 1.0 and have found these videos very useful for motivation. Sometimes it's hard to know what the next goal should be, so seeing your progression is a good guideline. Still need to setup coal power from the previous video before I can really scale up 😅
So I started following your beginner guide a couple days ago when i decided to give this game a try. They are really good and must take a lot of time, I really appreciate the work! Hope you'll get to 20k soon :)
When doing the raised manifolds, you can attach your lift to the machine and then add your splitter directly on the lift. I think it makes it quicker and easier than stacking 3 splitters and deleting the bottom 2.
Can’t wait for continuation of this series on 1.0, I believe this episode ended at the perfect spot where the changes in 1.0 won’t affect anything we’ve done so far.
what i liked about your guides was how understandable and clear viewed it was, but unfortunely in this one angles, cuts and the speed you set everything makes me pause every 2 seconds and even watch frae per frame to just figuredout some missing stuff for me, its a constructive comment, and with all my respect for the awsome work you share with us, thanks for the guide!
really great video series.. can't wait for more. just a small criticism, the end was too rushed. i would have loved to see the laying of belts for the raw materials. because as an absolute beginner, this is kind of overwhelming to dismantle everything and lay belts to where they have to go.
I now know how to go back 2 clicks and make 90 degree turns. I will have to call upon Buzz Lightyear to keep up with all the parts I have never seen and to follow along at Mk. 5 speed for the rest thanks The summary with everything color coded helped a lot though.
i suggest u put mk.2 belts between the mergers at the outputs if u have enough reinforced plates, cos it'll help the factory to overflow and work at 100% efficiency (btw thanks for the video, amazing job)
It's been so long since you last UBG i thought you were through with the Series. I really hope you continue this series all the way to tier 8 i have many hours in this game but i only get to tier 7 before it gets overwhelming for me i would like to continue this build following this series, you do such great job showing the step by step in this playthrough. Great Job !!!
hello. i like your tutorials i think your style is more informative step by step where everyone else dose more talking then showing as its being done. thank you. have a great day.
Ughh, starter factories suck so hard. ;-) The lack of resources, materials, recipes, and alts is always painful. But you've made a pretty quick, simple, and clean starter factory build. The Rocky Desert is one of the most abundant areas in game, which makes startup easier. The slow yields are hard to live with when you know you need so many hundreds or maybe thousands to unlock progress and build the next big factory. Liked the color coded bird's eye view recap after each section. Long video, but I watched at 2x. Pretty good tutorial. I always struggle at the start.
Loads of alternates can be found very early on and should be found and used early on such as iron wire, cast screws, stitched iron plates, and solid steel ingots. Just run around for a bit and unlock the drop pods. Most of the sites will have items littered that you can be used at other pods. You can find steel beams/pipes, loads of rotors, loads of modular frames and other stuff.
You use a conveyor belt from one thing to another. So if you’re using the miner (it has to be the mk2 or the big one that you need a portobello one for) you have to hook up some conveyor belts leading out of the miner to a smelter
Bro, I was following you with this series as a new player, liked what you was doing. And it's taken you 4 months to carry on the series. Are you for real,
First of, many thanks for your helpful videos! I have started to play a week ago, and your tutorials have been instrumental for me! Your lets play series is the best educational playthrough i have ever seen. The amount of work and care you are putting in your videos is incredible. Kudos to you. 47:19 when you showed your highway, i noticed perfectly aligned and straight conveyor belt slopes that are surgically parallel to foundation ramps…Can you please show how to do it in one of your next videos?
We do have 180 limestone input. At the end he added a merger in between the second and third constructor to attach a second line that supplies the constructors with 60. with the mk2 120 line we had it adds up to 180 limestone supply
I advise you to put the mob to fly and do everything in the air, there is more perspective since there comes a time when you go too fast and it is impossible to follow the process.
ty for this guider man! is really easy to follow!....the only issue i have is the las part, i would rather saw how you did the last part conections... bc im like suffering in figure it out xD
Excellent build and video series! Your series is what helped me get started and same with most people following, I ended up moving ahead on my own and found a couple other playthroughs to take inspiration from. My only question is, how did you determine your ratios? Why are you setting up three wire constructors into two cable constructors with one underclocked? Why did you opt for the rotor and reinforced iron plates set up producing 10 each? That’s one thing I’m still struggling, determining how much I SHOUOD be producing. So far I’m not having any trouble figuring out the ratios when building my “factories” to obtain the default output for those resources but still not sure how to determine how much I NEED which seems to be implied through your builds.
Partially experience, partially what’s available. So for instance, those beginner items you need more in order to build your basic things like machines, belts, poles, etc… so each part of my factory worked exactly for 1 120 belt of whatever it is. So 10 rotors takes in 120 iron ore. Same with 10 reinforced iron plates. Later on I’ll typically start thinking I’ll do 10 per minute, see how much ore that requires and adjust from there depending on what’s nearby.
Love your series man. Question for the outputs on everything. Have it all set up as you do, but it just seems to lack resources into it, like it takes forever to get any of the output materials.. is that just because of having a lower end miner and belts, not being able to feed enough iron or something wrong on my part?
Hey SpectrumDad, love these instructional videos. You do them in a way that is very easy to understand and follow. It is very much appreciated. I was lucky to find your UBG videos right after I bought the game. Quick question, though. I think you repeated one process. Starting at 27:31 you start the process of adding the merge manifold to the output of the screws and rods constructors. Then at 28:23, you show what the setup looks like. I got confused at 28:27 when it seems, to me anyway, that you are showing the same process with one slight difference. The spare screws constructor is in the centre instead of to the far end. Am I missing something?
First of all, thank you very much for your video. This is the first time I have been able to establish such a factory, but I calculated the number of ingots used in making rotors as 112.5, but we produce 120. Didn't you notice this or did I calculate it wrong? thanks...
Really interesting and usefull guide, like all of the others, but if i may just say something, as it is supposed to be a starter guide, even if it's a bit less efficient, maybe it would be preferable to only use basic recipes, and not alternatives ones, as we don't really know when we will unlock it. For example, i just start a fresh game and wanted to follow your guide, but i don't have unlock the cast screws recipe yet, so i need to use one more constructor in between to transform iron lingot into iron bar to make the screws. It's not big deal but it's kinda messing up the whole thing as i need to shift all the others constructors from one row to keep it all good looking (and it was kinda boring to do since i'm making all my ressources and convos come from the floor below to keep it even more clean lol)
hi ive been following ur serie from the start since last week and been appreciating it so much until now, i dont get it for the last bit about connecting everything like when do you use mk1 or mk2 belt and lifts im a bit lost rn
So 5 iron ore lines are required ? Sorry I should add loved the video saw 360 coming in an went yes that’s my situation although I think the 5th line must have added retrospectively
Is this a continuation of the large coal setup you did? I built along with you on it and you stopped. I was at a loss where to go from there and have been waiting for the next video for awhile now.
Hi Dad congrats on your 20k subs........hope you and your family are well...........I just started a new game and I wanted to see how long it would take me to get to Coal Power and Basic Steel production.....well it took me 3 hours and 22 mins
hey mate great beginner series so far, ive been following along since i started playing satisfactory about a week ago. when will the next episode come out?
Limestone requires 45 per input. To have 4 inputs of 45, you need input of 180 limestone per minute. Tier 2 belts are limited to 120. To deal with this, 2 inputs of 45, and 1 underclocked to require only 30 per minute. That handles 120 limestone per minute, asides from that, all the math looks perfect
Yo, go to where you built the coal power plant (if you are following along on the series), if you check the map you will see the large dam in which you built the coal plant and left of it you will see two smaller dams, go inbetween the two dams (so going from your power plant to the left on the map), you will see a small cliff behind your two coal drills, go up that cliff, you will find a cave entrance there, you will find 3 pure quartz nodes in that cave.
Hi Dad just a heads up or I might be wrong but with the cast screws we put a splitter between 2nd and 3rd which is then being split to other merger which then means that line is now 140 screws a min but only needas 120 and 1 assembler is 20 short? So what i did was remove the splitter between 2nd and 3rd and put the splitter in front of second which has 80 screwa feeding it ,then split that 80 to another splitter in front of the 3rd 1 and that 1 into the 3rd 1 giving it a total of 120 screws the other 20 merged back with the 40 making 60 for other assembler.........btw I am so happy with the video you kept me up till gone 5am lol
You’re right. It wasn’t working as I thought it would. It’s prioritizing the main belt vs the constructor. It’s ok though, once we get mk3 belts this will be changed in an episode or two. In the interim, that second constructor fills up, so we can take those screws and periodically put them in the assembler if we really cared to do that.
@@spectrumdad_ what ive done is added another layer that creates the rods for the screws. Does that work or do i need to overclock/ underclock anything? Thanks man, your video has helped so much
For this game, what size must the machine's specs be at a level that can be played? To create a lot, at the middle level, ryzen5600 rx6700xt ram32 in medium settings, is it enough to play? Sorry if the language is incorrect.
Hey love your vids man but can i ask that you would please inform of any alt recipe's at the start of the vid so one doesn't fallow along and get to that point and come to a complete halt and on other thing is its kinda hard sometimes to fallow where you are placing things when u have a cut right before you place the item but as i said love your vids and have been fallowing along as best i can keep up the great work man
Yea I should have mentioned it. But it was a continuation of the series where I’ve been using the cast screws before so I didn’t think of including it. Thanks for the feedback!
This helped me so much with setting everything up. I've been playing this game since its day 1 EA release but stopped as i got lost. But since Satisfactory is now 1.0, i decided to play again and i came across your channel. Thank you again so much!! One question though, is there like a tool you use to figure out the correct factories and belts to achieve your desired output? Or you just do the math manually and lay it out as well?
I have a question about the concrete production. I'm at the same phase as you, with only Mk.2 conveyor belts. Since each constructor takes 45 limestone per minute, they would need a total of 180 per minute. How did you transport it all with only a belt capacity of 120? I see you have two lines of limestone but how did you get them all into the machines?
@@ROO1KAT i have watched the entire series and i still do not understand how he did this at the phase he's at. i compromised by simply removing one constructor
the rotor constructors are taking 112.5 iron ingot/min instead of 120 causing stuttering 5*12.5 = 62.5 3*15 = 45 All that plus the 5 at the end for the underclocked rods is 112.5 and not the 120 the smelters are making
I know this is rather late, but about the concrete setup, isn't it missing 60 limestone per second? only 1 mk.2 belt going in whilst it needs 4x 45 per min to produce the 60 concrete per min. Idk if I missed something here but I have managed to solve it in some way myself (which I am semi proud of as it looks kinda decent as well lol)
I'm curious about something: in the rotor part the first rod constructor is underclocked to produce 5/min and the last assembler is underclocked to 2/min. I have tried playing around making this setup with and without the cast screws alternate recipe but I still get a leftover of 7.5 iron. Am I missing something or is this intentional and the number is so little that it can be overlooked? Thanks in advance for the tips 😊

For the concrete, shouldn't it be three with one under-clocked as concrete is 45 to make 15 otherwise, we need 180 limestone input
We do have 180 limestone input. At the end he added a merger in between the second and third constructor to attach a second line that supplies the constructors with 60. with the mk2 120 line we had it adds up to 180 limestone supply

Plz continue this series and upgrade starter factory to master level will all components and transportation including trains and trucks
Love ur vids!! Started playing satisfactory because of you!!
Fucking Genius to use alternate receipes for beginners and don't even mention it. Thanks a lot.
Yep this is the continuation of that video
Looking forward to UBG 6 :)
@@PTY997 already out
Very helpful! Keep going!
Yuhhh been waiting for this!!
Hi Dad congrats on your 20k subs........hope you and your family are well...........I just started a new game and I wanted to see how long it would take me to get to Coal Power and Basic Steel production.....well it took me 3 hours and 22 mins
hey mate great beginner series so far, ive been following along since i started playing satisfactory about a week ago. when will the next episode come out?
love your vids man! keep em up brother, i respect the grind especially with having a kiddo
Your videos are very informative.
Thx for the 5 video's.
Later in the video I do end up doing 180. :)
Oh, my bad. I'll have to see how you set that up, people normally never bother
That's what I get for not watching the whole video lol
Are you going to do a #6? I could use a lot of help with oil trucks? I know there are other guides, but your vids really click with me
Finally!!! You are insane
Everything is so spacious and clean when you have a plan.... And then you're like, "imma slap a little engine production in the leftover empty spaces"
If anyone is playing in the rocky desert, i am really struggling to find the quartz node so i cant wait for the next episode
Coordinates of cave entrace are -1087, -1404
Nice Video! Can you mabye make a video on how to makea Heavy modular frame factory?
Do you say anywhere in the video exactly how much of each resource you’re bringing in for this factory? I’m trying to plan to make my own of this
By far the most annoying thing is my inner urge to make everything as perfect as it can be
Hi Dad just a heads up or I might be wrong but with the cast screws we put a splitter between 2nd and 3rd which is then being split to other merger which then means that line is now 140 screws a min but only needas 120 and 1 assembler is 20 short?
@@spectrumdad_ when will the part be out please Dad?
Wow. This will help me a lot
Awesome! Thanks, boss!
any tips on what to do if i dont have cast screws? Thanks!
@@dxralph4668 on my channel I have a video 5 perfect starter layouts. Those are the same as in this video but without cast screws
@@spectrumdad_ thanks man!
@@spectrumdad_ what ive done is added another layer that creates the rods for the screws. Does that work or do i need to overclock/ underclock anything? Thanks man, your video has helped so much
For your rotor factory, is it efficient for a 80 iron imput only ?
Google satisfactory tools then go to the calculator section, I think this is what you are looking for.
Watch the rest of the series
@@ROO1KAT i have watched the entire series and i still do not understand how he did this at the phase he's at. i compromised by simply removing one constructor
When can we expect the next episode?
the rotor constructors are taking 112.5 iron ingot/min instead of 120 causing stuttering
5*12.5 = 62.5
3*15 = 45
All that plus the 5 at the end for the underclocked rods is 112.5 and not the 120 the smelters are making
Keep watching :)
@@spectrumdad_ I must have been blind 🙈
I'm curious about something: in the rotor part the first rod constructor is underclocked to produce 5/min and the last assembler is underclocked to 2/min. I have tried playing around making this setup with and without the cast screws alternate recipe but I still get a leftover of 7.5 iron. Am I missing something or is this intentional and the number is so little that it can be overlooked? Thanks in advance for the tips 😊
Lets Goooooo!!
Do you have a version without the alternative recipe for the screws? haven't had the luck in getting them to come up
Nevermind, no more then 20 minutes later I got the recipe
Hey is this saves still available on your Patreon? Thanks
