Hello TR, any suggestions for painting or sort out the old ceiling, because the flofs are falling down. Probably because of the heat in Vegas. Thank you for all your hard work
I really like those blinds. Where did you get them from? I looked in your Amazon store but didn't see them there. Thx. I'm a new subscriber and really enjoy your do-it-yourself.
Well two different sources, but I was able to match them pretty close. Check out this video for the story behind the blinds. ruclips.net/video/RDHwPIrDBY4/видео.html I had a good experience with blindster.com.
Great Job!! Is there a reason you decided on Enamel paint vs the other choices? I'm not sure how it works on foam brushes but I wrap my paint brush bristles with a piece of aluminum foil and stick it in the freezer. No matter how long I leave it in there it's always ready. Be proud of your work and thanks for helping the rest of us RV DIY'ers!!
I used latex...did I say enamel...I'll have to watch the video. I finished it about 5 weeks ago.. Yea, the fridge/freezer works on enamel paint as well. I've used the brush in the bag, sometimes wrapped with plastic wrap, for years. Thanks Kelly!
I'll be go to hell...it does. I didn't notice that but it is okay. It must have been water based enamel because I washed out the roller a couple of times in the sink.
Excellent Job TR👍 looks great. I must have missed it, but which sample test worked you decided on, the sand paper, scratch pad or the control? Also, did you use latex or an oil base paint. Thanks....
The control is just fine and the paint stuck well. Since I was washing all the walls I used the scuff pad to scrub the walls. I used enamel, it is a little more durable and I think easier to wash.
TR great job! Lots of work there. Did you comment on your test patches you painted ? Which one held up the best? I am currently doing inside of my airstream. Oh and i live in Tucson and yes she is getting hot. Enjoy the channel!!
Thanks, Rick. I did but it was not obvious. The control was just fine (*no sanding or scuffing) but since I was scrubbing all the walls I used the scuff pad to scrub them. Yea, it's getting a little toasty here. 100's for the next week or so may change my mind about sticking around another three weeks😝

Hi TR. love all the videos and I’m liking them all. A few questions: where did you get the blinds and what are they called. Someone told me to use oil based primer which will also permanently bond the vinyl wall paper to the coach. Any thoughts on this? Thank you Brad
I've always thrown caution to the wind and gone straight to just painting the walls. Never had a problem. If you don't get back to painting for a more extended period of time, store the brushes in a plastic bag in the freezer. They last forever in there.
Hey TR! New subscriber here! Planning to paint my RV walls soon. When we pulled off the wall paper boarder some of the behind wall paper bubbled up, and some peeled off. What would you use to patch these spots before painting? To make sure we have a completely smooth surface to paint.
I would sand them with some 120 paper and if there are still divots you can fill them with a flexible wall patch like this: amzn.to/3wX4njJ You want to use flexible because the walls of your RV flex as it rolls down the road and using flexible patch will help stop it cracking.
Here is an article from my website on the tools you should have for your RV. I think you will find it super helpful as a first timer. www.trbowlin.com/rv/rv-how-to/essential-tools-checklist-for-every-rv-owner/
I thought about that...I just sanded the edge of the paper where it tore off and feathered it. You can't see where it came off the wall so I dodged a bullet there!
It was not clear in how the test turned out. The paint stuck to the untreated surface just fine. I did, however, use the scuff pad's when I washed the walls prior to painting. The paint seems very durable so far!
