It’s funny how the final three in this competition played out almost EXACTLY like total drama island. Altrive was the people’s champ as Owen Alpharad was the mastermind villain as heather Peach jars was the unexpected third finalist as Gwen.
You know, I didn't really think about this until now, but if there's one thing Alpharad seems to be really good at, it's pacing. He's able to make videos of games like these which usually are like a few hours long and condense it into a 20-30 minute video all while still being investing to watch. Major props to you, Jacob. That in itself is Awesome.
Remember that Alpha started his career as an editor for another content creator. Having that experience I imagine makes him more aware of what a good narrative really is.
To add on to the other comment, he also took classes in editor and film creation, though I couldn't find what he went to college for? Maybe more of the same?
Yep, he's a great story teller pretty much. He creates a simple yet dramatic story outline, there is character progression, callbacks and a "moral" of the story, and the video itself feels much easier to follow

Imagine though, Jacob gets 50 people together, lies to them continuously, kicks 30 of them out before it even starts, proceeds to bully and punch his way through each round of competition, and rigs the vote in the end to win it all. That is the content I subscribed for
He didn't lie. He just left out crucial bits of info, let people assumed and refused to answer any questions when asked about the SMP before it started. However I will not deny the rest. That, that he clearly did.
A rule that they didn't know is that when you don't vote, instead of voting randomly, you actually vote for yourself. That's how Scott got 3 votes in the last tribal council when Altrive was the one who voted for Alpha.
Peach is a robbed goddess tbh, she played a good game AND didn’t have to return. The flip on Scott knowing Alpha wasn’t gonna get jury votes, pretty iconic.

Watching this live was a roller coaster of emotions, from half of the youtubers not even getting in, to Alpharad becoming the villain, to Alpharad then realizing he could have included all the content creators, truly a once in a lifetime experience(until he does it again)

So in this particular video, Alpha went on a sociopathic spree and noticed that his teammate, Smallant, was pretty good at the game. Too good. in fact, it was almost like he was trying to assert himself as the leader, which ticked alpha off. Having a skilled teammate is swell and all, but if you're aware that this teammate will soon become a rival, it's not. Alpha pretended to be his friend but bided his time to kick ant off. Eventually, that time came.
Just like the ending of death note. Even though our protagonist lost he brought the world together and created a stronger bond between the other contestants.

So in this particular video, Alpha went on a sociopathic spree and noticed that his teammate, Smallant, was pretty good at the game. Too good. in fact, it was almost like he was trying to assert himself as the leader, which ticked alpha off. Having a skilled teammate is swell and all, but if you're aware that this teammate will soon become a rival, it's not. Alpha pretended to be his friend but bided his time to kick ant off. Eventually, that time came.
Legend has it, the thirty something people Alpharad left on the shore are still there dancing to this day

Glad to see Alpharad back and doing great. Everyone needs a break once in a while to get back into shape, and he deserved it from such tragic events: like playing Balan Wonderland, and editing the recording of Balan Wonderland... those kinds of events can really affect someone.
