I was going to point out the same thing. If he gets to Hunger he’ll want that :)
Plus, he uses some British words (like “pram” for baby stroller) so the lyrics help you figure that out.
React to as much Ren as you see fit. He has nothing out there that is average. He doesn't do fillers and jumps from genre to genre, Setting new standards with his unique touch of genius. I think you would like Dear God in particular. Beautiful and powerful. Cheers from Downunder .

For something completely different from Ren, look up "the Big Push" Bongo Bong (Live). I warn you that it will easily become an Ear Worm....LOL. It's actually hard to put Ren in a box, he can basically do whatever he puts his mind to. Another "the Big Push" song to check out would be a cover of the Bob Marley song "I shot the Sheriff." Basically anything from "the Big Push" is worth checking out, as most of it is live Busking (Street Performing).

If you know the original song and video it would help your reaction I think. It’s a much more positive “re-take” on the original and I agree that it shows his playful side. It’s his take on British society and it works for me.

I’ve been a Ren fan for about four years now since stumbling onto his band’s street performance videos. The Band is called The Big Push and you’ll get a load of Ren’s vocals from any video you choose. My personal favourites are War Pigs, I Shot The Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop and Wade In The Water/Trouble So Hard. You can also go for One Dance/Drunk In Love with Chinchilla where his technical skills with the loop pedal are on show.
Anyway, keep up the great work and keep on going down the rabbit hole

I’m enjoying the Ren reactions, it’s a deep rabbit hole to go down but if you really want to hear Ren sing check out ‘The Big Push - Wade in the water / Nina Simone / Trouble so hard’. It’s from 3 years ago, Ren and his band busking on the street of Brighton.
His Wade in the water performance with the big push is epic.

There's a bunch of us that are hooked on Ren reactions so keep em coming, no worries! 😅 Another one with him singing is Freckled Angels, a song he wrote over 10 years ago for a friend who killed himself. There's a live performance video of it on RUclips.
I think bunch of us will soon turn into millions of us. Ren seams to connect on some level with the vast majority who find him. He's a true gem and a once in a generation artist. I am so happy to have Ren's music in my life and happy to see so many others experiencing his gift to the world.

As people have already said, the lyrics are normally the first comment. As you aren't British, you might not get some of the references, but you will at least see the lyrics flow. The video - and the track - is based on The Verve's Bitter Sweet Symphony. I'd recommend giving that a watch as well.
I think the only words you may not no the meaning of are :
Reeboks - a brand of British sneakers.
Bookies: - a shop where you go to place bets - can be on anything - horses, sports matches, political elections, the weather etc…

Hello Trev, we Ren obsessed will stick with you throughout your rabbit hole journey. As long as you have some content to keep people who are not keen (do they exist?), you should be fine! I for one am always happy to see another of your reactions popping up. Gary Leishman recommended 'What you Want' already, but there are also 'Power' and 'What you want 1&2' and Humble which all manage to combine message with something a little more upbeat. Dig it, man. I agree the video is super well done, but as @yearbyred said above me, do check out the original by the Verve, one of the BIG hits of the 1990s and see how Ren's video is like a positive, more well-rounded, less self-centered remake. Worth checking out the original video by the Verve, both the video and the lyrics do make a little more sense if you know what he's riffing off here. Hadn't seen the video for years and man, we were dark in the 90s.
