Hey! They’re very interlinked with each other. When we say efficient we mean reducing the amount of energy you need to burn / use to achieve the same result (eg. a technique change). Economy is more based off physiological factors like your VO2 max which can’t be changed in real time but slowly over training (ie. fitness levels).
The main thing is try to land your step with your foot closer to underneath your body rather than out far in front of you (like in the picture demonstrated). Also, you can reduce an excessive forward lean if you have one. ✌🏼
