    This manga has some excellent villains, but every time Ghetsis in particular appeared, I’d get angry (in a good way). Kusaka’s a really good writer.

    One of my favourite aspects of Ghetsis in the Manga is how he tries to justify it all at the end. It was his dream to rule Unova. Which ties into how all the protagonists are chasing a dream of some sort. The theming of these arcs are the dreams that everyone has, and Ghetsis has the gall to try and equate his dream of conquest and cruelty as a dream in the same vein as Black wanting to win the pokemon league, or White wanting to become the best agent for talented pokemon.

    The games were always vague about Lysandre's belief that the "beauty of the world" was being ruined. The manga was the first time that his Malthusian philosophy was properly explored. He just got tired of helping poor people because there wasn't enough money or resources in the whole world to fix every problem, and that was something he couldn't grapple with, so he decided to get rid of the problem entirely. By force.

    2:08 heck bad execution wasn’t even Rose’s problem in the manga since he had his organization spread out throughout galar to counter the rampant gigantimax Pokémon as well as the faith of the gym leaders.
    His only true fumble is the fact that he genuinely believed the big haired nobles when they told rose that they had the means to counter the darkest night. It was only due to that did rose even commit to this so quickly. And even then he took responsibility for his lapse in judgement by fending off eternatus personality.

    8:52 not exactly what Cyrus wanted. In his own words based on his understanding of the lake trio myths he wished to recreate a seemingly incomplete world to end conflict, even acknowledge his own lack of emotion considering himself incomplete to.
    It was only after witnessing dia platina and pearls support of one another did Cyrus receive his epiphany which leads to him aiding dia in the following arc.
    And despite his acknowledgment of his lack of emotional range he still had the complete trust and respect of mars Jupiter and Saturn wanting to stay with him even after disbanding galactic.

      It’s through his understanding of the lake trio myths and views of the world that he came to a conclusion that the world is incomplete as he puts it and believed if he remade the world to be complete all would be fine with the world.

    It's so weird to me how a lot of these are so wildly different from their game counterparts. Like, game Faba is a toadying lacky who thinks he's hot shit but utterly fails to accomplish anything on his own and in Pokespe he's an evil mastermind. Game Archie and Maxie are ecoterrorists who disrupt the balance of nature through sheer incompetence and who have a change of heart and work to make amends and yet Pokespe did...well...yeah.
    But then you have stuff like Cyrus where it changes him for the better (DPA did the same thing but that sort of ended prematurely and didn't have time to properly explore it) and BDSP seems to follow suit, putting him at the Battle Tower in the postgame (which i feel like would be impossible without SOME sort of turnabout)
    I cannot figure out what Pryce's whole evil scheme had to do with finding Celebi. Like, how does kidnapping and brainwashing help him find it? It felt almost like the reveal of his true plan was shoehorned in since it was so disconnected to everything he actually did.
    No Sird? That seems a atartling ommission.

      Death isn’t a fitting punishment for Ghetsis. It’s too clean and merciful. His end in BW2 (games) is perfect I think. The Shadow Triad heavily suggests or outright states that he has completely lost it and is essentially a catatonic vegetable. A prisoner of his own mind and body, unable to function, let alone devise a new scheme to conquer Unova. Condemned to be stuck in his last, colossal failure for the rest of his life.

    One thing I wish happened with N and getting attacked by Ghetsis. Was that he lost his eye. So it could parallel both him and his father. Ghetsis has the red eye to represent Ideals as N has a blue eye to represent truth. I know he has Zekrom but that was mostly because he followed his father’s ideals.

    Gold is easily my favourite human character in Adventures but I wish his team was better. Typhlosion, Politoad, and Togekiss are great. Ambipom is okay but Sunflora and Sudowoodo have to go. I don’t mind if they were one off catches that say in storage but they actively drag the team down. If it were up to me, I would’ve pushed his team in one of two directions. One is to swap those two for Umbreon and Skarmory. The team gets a lot of defence while also adding representation for the new gen 2 types. They could stop there and keep Ambipom but my concern is the lack of firepower on his team at that point, especially relative to Silver, Red, or Blue. I would drop Ambipom for one of 2 pokemon. He could have an Arcanine instead of Crys, doubling down on fire which is fine since Silver has 3 water types (I know water is a way better type to have multiple of them fire). Having multiple fire types would fit his personality pretty well. The other option is hatching an Elekid or having one from the start, doesn’t matter, and eventually having Electivire. His team would be so much more threatening this way. Either way, still the best character though.
    TLDR:
    Typhlosion
    Politoad
    Togekiss
    Ambipom -> Arcanine or Electivire
    Sunflora -> Skarmory
    Sudowoodo -> Umbreon
