I think Rosetta is great for someone who's starting to learn a new language. I've found it very helpful especially for those languages that use different scripts, like Arabic. Despite the repetitiveness, it's still much more engaging than a regular textbook, at least for autodidacts. And when it comes to grammar, I just supplemented my Rosetta course with a grammar book.
I actually wanted to learn French in high school but ended up doing Spanish which I am glad i did but the video was very informative and it seems like Rosetta Stone is more entry level learning just to know some basics
Thanks for the review. I don't really want to learn french; well atleast at this moment. I was watching some of your LSAT prep review videos and this was recommended next so I thought it would be ntereating to watch and you did not disappoint. Haha. Thank you.
Rosetta really seems best for visual learners. Even so, it looks most efficient as a supplemental, used in conjunction with other apps or a grammar textbook.
I took French in HS and really loved learning about the culture. Plus, the language is beautiful. I would love to visit France (Corsica) one day and be able to converse with locals
im a visual learner and im on duolingo right now learning french. im going to get rosetta stone to help me along because of this review so thank you. i do have a question for you. what other app would you suggest where they explain stuff to you in English then run you through some tests and stuff like you were talking about. id be intrested in that as well. thanks again
Thank you John! Do you have any idea how language learning apps such as Rosetta Stone, pimsleur, babbel etc. Compare to classroom learning? Do you think you can get a similar outcome? I wasn’t able to attend high school so I’ve been feeling a little left out recently with everyone taking high school Spanish haha
Rosetta Stone only provides very basic French which is not that useful even in minor or small interactions with people. So I suggest instead of buying it, you better watch free contents in RUclips and watch movies with french title. Do not waste money on Rosetta Stone or on any similar products.
this is the most boring worst app ever. If you use it for like 10 minutes a day to supplement whatever other method you're using it's fine. But warning IT'S SUPER LAME AND BORING.

Are you still planning to do videos about Assimil?
Thanks
No problem
When you buy a monthly plan, do you only get access to one language or all the languages?
For monthly plans you get one language, for the lifetime plan you get all languages
I think it is pretty good for kids too.
totally agree! Rosetta Stone is a great pick for kids
Whats the best language app overall?
Rocket Languages! Check out our review videos on them
I'm going to stick to learning spanish!
Does it teach conjugations?
Not directly. Rosetta Stone uses more of an intuitive framework to teach grammar

it's not worth a penny. learn french elsewhere. rosetta stone can burn their software is awful and ugly.
What about this tutoring from roseta stone, has someone tried it?
