I’m 35 & when I moved out (not till I was 25) it was because I wanted to be able to easily spend time / have sleepovers with the guy I was in love with at the time. It was so unhealthy and toxic because I gave him a key and he could come and go whenever he wanted so I never had friends over or tried to date after we broke up. Even after we broke up I was still in love with him and wanted him to come around. I realized my motivation for leaving home was not the right motivation. I should’ve done it for me and realized it was an accomplishment to save up to move out, get furniture, etc. I moved from that apartment to where I’ve lived now for the past few years and my apartment now feels like a home even though I’m alone. I can decorate how I want, look ugly, etc. and just chill. I’m glad you realized this so early on because your 20s are gonna be so great if you follow your heart, your own advice, etc. Continue to do you and what makes you happy. You’re so right. & wise beyond your years. I’m 35 & when I moved out (not till I was 25) it was because I wanted to be able to easily spend time / have sleepovers with the guy I was in love with at the time. It was so unhealthy and toxic because I gave him a key and he could come and go whenever he wanted so I never had friends over or tried to date after we broke up. Even after we broke up I was still in love with him and wanted him to come around. I realized my motivation for leaving home was not the right motivation. I should’ve done it for me and realized it was an accomplishment to save up to move out, get furniture, etc.
I moved from that apartment to where I’ve lived now for the past few years and my apartment now feels like a home even though I’m alone. I can decorate how I want, look ugly, etc. and just chill.
I’m glad you realized this so early on because your 20s are gonna be so great if you follow your heart, your own advice, etc. Continue to do you and what makes you happy. Life is too short to waste it doing what someone else expects/wants of you. Wishing you all the best! 💜💜💜💜

ANA - It is not "psychologically" healthy to be single or want to be single and often indicative of a larger emotional or mental problem. This is also how you may feel today but not tomorrow. You won't be able to dance for the rest of your life nor be single either for the rest of your life and be happy or comfortable. The problem with many of you girls is you don't put more planning and thinking for your FUTURE and just live for today but not tomorrow and later when you realize your mistake, it is too late.
