to everyone saying that the t-jet engine is not worth it I'm just going to let you know that people here in Italy people are regularly pushing over 350hp and more rarely but still commonly-ish pushing 500 horsepower, with the quickest 500 Abarth having 497 horsepower doing 60-130mph in almost 6 sec flat (a lambo huracan does it in 6.5), while the highest hp one in Italy having a Frankenstein 2L block (stock is 1.4L precisely 1.364) and 542hp, keep in mind depending on the spec they weigh anywhere from just below 1990lbs to 2200lbs and they are all FWD with an optional race spec sequential gearbox

When I was a skateboarder I did an ad with Fiat for the Huntington Beach surf festival. I basically got shuttled up and down hill bombs in Santa Cruz in an abarth! The license plate was “VRMPOP” lol. I’ll never forget that day and my 15 minutes of fame and some beer money from Fiat! Great company, very nice to me as a clueless kid.

Ignoring that 205 tyres might stop them kissing the wheel arch, it's a valid comment about checking the amount of bump travel you have, and raising ride height slightly or increasing vertical spring rate
I loved mine for the 5 years of ownership - more reliable than the 2 German cars that followed it. One thing though- stripping out the back to save weight is good, but with already front end heavy the back end benefits from a crate or 2 of water for balance. They handle so much better then.
I like the realistic instant MPG indicator in most Fiat group vehicles its limited to 25l/100km or 9 mpg, even the iveco daily AT is limited while it's average mpg is 17l/100.
@@progammler Just gotta go old enough, and it's not an issues at all ;) Any car from the mid-80s or earlier have next to no rollover protection -> very slim A-pillars ;) If you want to not die in a rollover, AND have a good view, find an old Saab 900 or Volvo 240 - they have reinforced A-pillars, that are still fairly slim, and the Saab even has a curved windshield, further helping visibility ;)
@AIRDRAC oh I was talking about new cars! I have a great view in a BMW e30 or in the VW 181 where I can even fold the windshield down... But BMW F3x or G2x for example are terrible. (not as bad as VW Golf though xD) I guess it's not only rollover protection but also the airbag. I'd rather avoid a crash by being able to observe my surroundings, but most people seem to think otherwise in their gigantic SUVs and similar monstrosities and keep collecting bikers on their hoods.
@@progammler ah, I see, yeah it's hard to find modern cars with good visibility around the A-pillar! Not to mention C-pillars that can hide a bus! I don't think anyone have airbags in the A-pillar itself, they usually deploy either from the ceiling, B-pillar, or the side bolsters of the seats. But rollover protection, combined with the fact that modern cars are nearly twice as heavy as their 80's equivalents has led to chunky A- and C-pillars to compensate :)
@@progammler Not all new cars are terrible in regards to visibility. The A pillar in these Abarth, at least on a LHD model is brutal. Not to mention the rear view mirror, and crazy blind spots. I bought a new one when they came out in 2012? Sold it almost instantly.
That sweet little car needs another gear for those straights where it runs out of RPM. Outstanding car none-the-less. If I ever win the Lotter I'll be at the "Ring" with my Chevelle 4dr and roughly RWHP 900 HP.. I'll get some consults on tires so that it has winning shoes. lol
High G's and low fuel = melted pistons! I would put at least 1/2 a tank in before doing that again, even a moment of fuel-starvation under full boost will grenade your engine :/ (Just hope that fuel gauge is lying! :'))
What? People go with almost empty tanks all the time for weight savings, I don't think that's right, wouldn't the boost just go out through the exhaust normally? Now with even less strain because there is no goddam explosion inside the cylinder?
@@jackcartledge8291 even with proxy alignment? When you change or unplug something that body ecu control it on this cars (Alfas too) you must do this alignment that. If all work and is compatible it should work.

Sounds like the tyres rub the wheel wells, and what’s that knocking sound from the brakes every time you brake? Needs to be heightened 1/2 inch. Tyres will be damaged and that can cause a puncture.

@ADEdmundson a k03 can make 300hp with an uprated turbine wheel which allows for more boost. It's still the standard size housing and turbo. And I no because I've got one on my 1.8 20v 😂 and they have been around for decades its called a k300
@whitegptjet a td04 is big compared to a standard small frame turbo. Them 1.4 are made out of chocolate and are slow as fuck for how light they are even my mx5 smokes them on track let alone my 1.8 20v 😂😂

i've got a suggestion: whenever you drive a car with a mph speedometer, try to change it to kmh, just for the lap, then put it back into mph, for me personally, whenever it is a car with mph, i can't fully connect with the lap, thus enjoying less the video somehow, but still nice evening video nonetheless.
@@jackcartledge8291 It does not have an LSD, it has a very worn or broken LSD, or the owner was lied to when he was told it has an LSD. Simple as that. Anybody can take 5 seconds to google what an LSD's purpose is, which is preventing one wheel from getting excessive power sent to it when it has no or little grip, like is clearly shown by this abarth doing a ton of "one wheel peels" coming out of corners under acceleration. If you don't know that, then yes i clearly do know more about it than you do. Might also be the 30+ years of motorsport experience i have, but in your case its just not knowing what you're talking about and/or having been lied to. Might not be fun to hear, but thats simple facts. You not even knowing what turbo is on it further underlines that.
@@jackcartledge8291 3:56 (very minor), 4:04 (very clear, Misha's foot remains in the same position on throttle and the car does not sidestep), 5:59, 6:34 (minor again), 7:18, 8:16-8:19 multiple times, 8:57 and i can probably list atleast 10 more times till the end of the lap. Either that LSD is not an LSD or its broken. Or you hobbied it in with a couple mates in the weekend and threw standard oil back in, or oil with the wrong additive (you do know it needs different oil for an LSD to work, right?). If you had a "completely custom developed for this car" turbo you'd know which turbo was used to build this hybrid one from, for damn sure. And you'd know the suspension is way too soft, like Misha also told you, to which your answer would not have been "is it?". I'll leave you with that, you clearly dont want any help and you clearly have all the knowledge. The only thing i can commend you with is not having a stupid pops&bangs map on it like all the other UK kids seem to need nowdays.

A tuned TJET never disappoints. This little 1.4T engine is a gem and don't forget 300+ bhp on a stock motor running Nurburgring without any issues.

In MY2020 I was able to easily disable this using Mutliecuscan in instrument cluster, but it probably depends on the model year.

@@jackcartledge8291 It does not have an LSD, it has a very worn or broken LSD, or the owner was lied to when he was told it has an LSD. Simple as that.
Anybody can take 5 seconds to google what an LSD's purpose is, which is preventing one wheel from getting excessive power sent to it when it has no or little grip, like is clearly shown by this abarth doing a ton of "one wheel peels" coming out of corners under acceleration. If you don't know that, then yes i clearly do know more about it than you do. Might also be the 30+ years of motorsport experience i have, but in your case its just not knowing what you're talking about and/or having been lied to. Might not be fun to hear, but thats simple facts. You not even knowing what turbo is on it further underlines that.
@@jackcartledge8291 3:56 (very minor), 4:04 (very clear, Misha's foot remains in the same position on throttle and the car does not sidestep), 5:59, 6:34 (minor again), 7:18, 8:16-8:19 multiple times, 8:57 and i can probably list atleast 10 more times till the end of the lap.
Either that LSD is not an LSD or its broken. Or you hobbied it in with a couple mates in the weekend and threw standard oil back in, or oil with the wrong additive (you do know it needs different oil for an LSD to work, right?). If you had a "completely custom developed for this car" turbo you'd know which turbo was used to build this hybrid one from, for damn sure. And you'd know the suspension is way too soft, like Misha also told you, to which your answer would not have been "is it?".
I'll leave you with that, you clearly dont want any help and you clearly have all the knowledge. The only thing i can commend you with is not having a stupid pops&bangs map on it like all the other UK kids seem to need nowdays.
