Anita & Ruth have such great senses of humour in every interview. Ruth is hilarious about the liquor, and Anita doing her impersonation of the Fire demo is priceless (and her bass range is, while not on par with Ruth's, pretty solid here!! )
I agree that it was a bad idea to start it off with people who never heard of them. That's shade to the nth degree. They've had an amazing career and are truly legends in the industry. It also frustrates me that no one ever really mentions their earlier hits like "Yes We Can Can". It's one of those songs everyone has heard, but may not know who made it. They had a lot of hits before I'm So Excited.
Nice interview and Lara has great energy, but who's the producer at the Daily 100 who thought it was a good idea to kick off the segment by interviewing people who've never heard of the Pointer Sisters? It negates their legacy and begins things on a negative note. Really, really, REALLY bad idea.
In an interview she said that she was barred from attending by Ruth and Anita. She said something about how they refused for her to ride in the family car. Bonnie did say that they didn't honor June's burial wishes and instead cremated June, which I thought was weird. It made it seem as if Ruth and Anita either didn't have the money for a burial or was pissed off at June and refused to spend the money.
@yougottabee Uuuuhhhmmmm. When she was interviewed by AccessHollywood, she did not seem high at all during the interview. One of thier brothers did spill the beans that Bonnie demanded to be let back into the group, but he did not deny that June was cremated.
Not really since she only knows like one song.Plus, when they asked her to sing fire she didn't even know the lyrics. I wish she would of asked me, because even though i'm only 19 I would of broke out all those old Pointer songs, and would of asked her to sing along! Just to see if she really knew.
Love their humour, their laughter, their authenticity 😂😂😂😂😂😂... They are real and just so awesome ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks for posting! Aren't they wonderful behind the scenes as well as on stage?
It's a true experience to meet them.

And Bonnie was cremated I think Anita also
I think it is, which one I forget. Both Ruth's daughter and Anita's daughter have sang backup.

agreed
@yougottabee I used to know Bonnie and I never disputed that she is on drugs. If you're suggesting June was not cremated, you're being untruthful.
@AmericaHasToGo Issa, Ruth's daughter.
