Kicked out of his orphanage and on the verge of starving to death, Nakajima Atsushi meets some strange men. One of them, Dazai Osamu, is a suicidal man attempting to drown himself in broad daylight. The other, bespectacled Kunikida Doppo, nervously stands by flipping through a notepad. Both are members of the "Armed Detective Agency" said to solve incidents that even the military and police won't touch. Atsushi ends up accompanying them on a mission to eliminate a man-eating tiger that's been terrorizing the population...

Even though Ranpo is the smartest neither the port mafia, the guild, the hunting dogs, ect. never considered taking him out first.
Earlier in the show a low level gang harmed the people that ran the coffee shop and they were annihilated. Do you know what kind of disaster would happen if Ranpo ever got targeted.
@@agenttennessee the big bads I listed are as competent as the agency. It's not impossible and they wouldn't see it coming. Nicolai could do it or Fyodor Dostoevsky could think of something.

As smart as he is you don't think he's planning to be attacked . Even though he's the smartest character he in the shadows of some very clever people .
@@GLEN515 I am more willing to believe that Dazai is the smartest character in this series due to his harsh backstory and occasionally committed atrocities. He is a former mobster and has connections to the highest authorities.
Ranpo is this archetype master detective like Conan Edogawa, Ron Kamonohashi or Sherlock Holmes who inexplicably knows things hidden from everyone else. Makes the police look ridiculous and always seems layed back. Even characterwise Dazai has more to offer since he took Akutagawa and Atsushi under his wing and is everything to them for different reasons.
Dazai wants to die and is still kicking he doesn't have to be afraid of anything.
The main problem is that he is right. Fukuchi is umbeatable. One of the most op characters i have ever seen

Nah, Dazai carries a lot more over the 5 seasons.
@@Ani-Kya IDK about that. He has a significant role in the anime, but I always prefer the characters like Ranpo. As they say, whole agency depends on his ability.
@@onur6145 Where was his ability to help the agency when Atsushi was kept hostage??? Atsushi was already part fof it and yet Fukuzawa needed to convince him first. The first 2 seasons he wasn't that helpful at all. I just don't base my opinion just on the last seasons where he was better.
@@Ani-Kya Maybe he didn't want any more member at all? I mean even us audience don't fond of Atsushi very much. Besides, he always helped to solve cases whenever necessary. This is unfair. Hr sees the world different. No point on arguing who is better here. Just agree to disagree. 🤝

The thing is he basically knew it was Fukuchi even before this moment but it wasn't till this moment that he forced himself to acknowledge the truth. He didn't want to think about it because Fukuzawa trusts Fukuchi.

Who was outsmarted by Fyodor and woud have been fcked up if Dazai wouldnt made a backup plan. Seeing the truth in the present doesn't actually mean you are good in predicting the future. The other two are much more intelligent in their ways.

what a plot twist though...Fukuzawa's oldest friend, the leader of the Hunting Dogs, is also the leader of the Decay of the Angels, the boss of Fyodor, who has been the main villain pulling the strings ever since season 2.
