Another cute 12 x 12 project Mary, I'm like you about the policy closures, I close most of my flaps with those tiny velcro dots most of the time but I think a belly band is a good idea too. I think you could attach the side of it (not the flap) to the edge of your page with washi and still make it a flip out. Oh yay, my favorite color is yellow too, so sunny and warm and cheery.
