im from the uk and i could not be happier with the results!! Ukraine definitely deserved the win, the song is so catchy and ive always loved songs that mix their native language with pop!! and seeing us in 2nd was so surreal, the bbc called sam ryder "the uks eurovision saviour" 😭😭

I have no idea what you are whining about, on a normal year this song would have still been top 5 quality _ so FOR EVERY SINGLE REASON it's only beyond fitting that it won. Why don't you focus on the song that you would have wanted to win, instead of spreading negativity?! I mostly watch to discover some great musicians to add to my playlists but this year left a bad taste in my mouth anyway. I mean, on one hand it was obvious but I still hoped that people would be more rational... Oh well, I had Cornelia Jacobs stuck in my head for a whole day after 2nd semifinal and it was awesome, hah.

For every single reason in the book *including the one that it's a really good, very original song* Ukraine won well, it was fair. Sam was great, the UK song was good, but generalist. UK entries are always too generalist, even when they are good. I basically feel like Sam, his likability, his charisma and and his voice were more the reason for the second place than the song itself.

Congrats to Ukraine, but I feel like they got good part of these points purely due to the situation with Russia, which is in my opinion not good, because this is supposed to be music contest not a charity contest. It kinda makes this entire competition pointless, and is disrespectful to all of the other artist who participated. All Ukraine needed to do this year to win is sound at least ok, and they would win for sure.

For every single reason in the book **including the one that it's a really good, very original song** Ukraine won well, it was fair. The UK was good but generalist, Spain was awesome and it was rewarded with a good place, so it's all good. The only seriously unfair positioning for me this year was Serbia, that wasn't a song even. It was an art performance, yes _ not a song. Didn't get what the public saw in it to give it such a great placement.

Congratulations Ukraine, it was a wonderful show and a beautiful moment seeing all the love from the best citizens of Europe come flooding in ❤🇺🇦 Very proud of my country for coming 2nd place 🇬🇧🥳 and thank you to every single contestant for giving us amazing performances and a fantastic show. The only thing that spoils it is the bitterness from some fans but it’s the same thing every year anyway. In Eurovision 2022 if you care more about your country losing points than the lives of people losing everything then you need to look at yourselves and ask yourself some serious questions. 🙏🏻🕊

@@ottakilla9707 bruh i voted for them because they had the best song and performance. from the first time i saw it i knew it was superior. it's not new in eurovision for the first fan favourite to not win if another country has a better performance. just because you don't agree does not mean they didn't deserve it.

Was it really so superior that it deserved almost all 12 points from the public, something not even Portugal accomplished in 2017 being a fan favorite before, during and after the show with only 8 countries out of 42 giving their 12 public points.
