Footprint 01 compared to 8040, is there a big difference? And is the Footprint 01 similar to MM35, since the frequency response is similar (but the price is not :D ) Thank you for your time!
Thanks for the reply! I have had the footprint 01 in the studio for one day, testing it with the genelec 8040b. They do sound different. I compared the 8040 vs footprint only in mono (but listened to the barefoot in stereo later on). The Genelec 8040b goes very deep for its size, but of course the barefoot about 10hz goes lower. But around up to about 45hz sounds excellent on the 8040b. The Genelec has more information in the upper midrange, making the vocals poke out more from the mix. The Barefoot seems to have more midrange information, or so it seems since the genelec sounds "harsher" in the upper midrange. The tweeter is very direct/narrow from the barefoot, while the tweeter from Genelec sounds bigger. Barefoot seems to have a more overall even/flat sound, since there is no "harshness" in the upper midrange, and has lower bass extension, while Genelec always seems like the vocals are the always the loudest and most important part of the song. Genelec measures better in my studio with sonarworks, more even. Since you've heard them both, which one is better in your opinion? @@detroy_1975

I've never heard footprint01 in my studio. anyway, i think footprint01 and 8040 are very different.
