Barre -- May 23, 1995

The training program at the Kashtan School of Ukrainian Dance incorporates elements of ballet and character technique in order to refine the traditional folk dance movements. The barre work gently warms up the muscles and teaches proper body alignment.
Here we present a portion of our recital from May 23, 1995, which was designed to give the audience a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make Ukrainian dance seem effortless.
