progressive house is just amazing, it can help you relax, help myou take your mind off things, help you concentrate and think, and this is a personal one but gets my mind straight before a big lift in the gym. Helps me get in the zone. It's also great to make on fl studio... although I'm a beginner so they're a bit rubbish atm. But let's hope prog house keeps going, and more and more upcoming producers like myself make more. Love it

Progressive music is so great. The way how progressive music sounds gives chills. And when you get the chills listening to music, it's the best feeling you can get from listening from music.

+zaah haaz That's an interesting comment and I have to agree. I was big in the scene in the early 2000's and it is much more " trancey" and more synth. I do like it more this way I think!

This sounds like some chilled melodic trance ... Sorry if i sound stupid , but i've been a trance fan for more than a decade & this whole progressive house thingy is quite new to me . No matter how much i listen to it , i never seem to find much difference between prog. house & chilled melodic trance . Can someone care to enlighten me a bit . Also as far as i know, the house genre has disco soul funk like elements right , but i don't find such things in prog. house much . So what is prog. house exactly ? And what about deep house , is it a much more chilled version of prog. house ?
+Jac Mac Progressive house usually has very much a feel of early 2000s trance. It has the broad open synths, and atmospheric feel. The difference is primarily BPM. Nowadays prog house runs about 127-130. "Trance" music for the past few decades has been mostly in the 135-140 range for BPMs. Deep house is slower still, usually around 122-125. It also relies far less on melody and more on rhythm and pushing and pulling phrasing over long periods of time. It's not in your face, and rarely has a lead vocal at all, other than perhaps a looping phrase.

I don't say this with any type of scorn or anything: Its interesting how newer house has taken elements from trance. more than it used to.
I thought I was the only one who thought this. I used to listen to trance a lot but it kinda got repetitive for me...

I used to listen to only trance, but Progressive House, if that's what this is called, is basically all I listen to now.
