Lovely looking models, great for VW enthusiasts and anyone looking to expand their rc model collection. Can't bring myself to order either though.

that's one of the only issues. Is a suitable location. Failing that a c14 chassis under the camper should sort that!

I was curious when I saw the picture. But shouldn't the battery go in the back of the Bug? Or wonder if they actually put the motor there if you would take it apart. But those are awesome if I had the room I definitely would get them just to sit on the shelf.

Hi! My Bug finally showed up today, after its long walk from China to the States. It is pretty cute. I had mixed feelings about buying one until i saw that someone had redid one in WW 2 German markings, and then i was sold. I was a little bummed when I saw that WPL has nothing to do with its construction. There is a connection, in that the owner(Huang) of WPL also does some design work for the CDX company.
Do you know, or know where to find some technical info about the Bug? I'm really interested in the stock ESC and how much voltage can be ran through it before it blows 🎉. I'm currently editing my unboxing video on it and while I'm waiting on that, im going to watch your video for a third time, to make sure that i haven't missed anything. Oh, i need to watch to see if this thing is a 2 speed, as i can't remember from watching your video again 2 weeks ago. Thank you.
Oh, right off of the bat. Im sorry, but you are mistaken about the made by WPL part. I forgot you had said that. Yeah, that's totally wrong, Bro. I've already talked to Edward and Liam about that. Which is where i was able to gleen the information mentioned earlier.
I paid $41.40 USD for mine, with 2 batteries. I'm thinking about putting the WPL RES-3 electronics in mine, one of these days.

@mrkemblegilstrap I said they were purchased off of the WPL store, not made by WPL. I think my mate got them off that Asian RC website that is their sister store. Not sure about the technical info though, good luck with that! 👍

@@mrkemblegilstrap there's literally a link on the WPL home page for there sister store Asia RC Depot at the bottom. Where you can purchase these RC's. Go and have a look. 👍

@@theminiatureconstructionco4556 yes sir. That is true. But, WPL does not sell CDX. Even Liam got in trouble for saying that. Edward had me send him screenshots of the companies selling "WPL Volkswagens" He was going after them to stop. Liam got hooked because the people that print the labels on the boxes, accidentally printed a big fat WPL logo on the CDX Volkswagen box that he received to do a review on. WPL does not sell CDX. The Asian depot, does. WPL only sells WPL.
You specifically said, from the WPL store, twice. Right at the beginning of your video. Your musings later on, about the source of the Bug could be true. Although, mine came from Banggood.

@mrkemblegilstrap I think the confusion arises in the fact that there is a direct link between stores. And they are owned and run by the same people. When my friend ordered them, he literally accessed the relevant sales pages by going through the WPL official store. As far as I'm concerned, they are one and the same thing. If you don't wish to associate yourself with a separate sales website. Don't include numerous links between them. Because it is inevitable that people are not going to make a distinction between the two. Also, I honestly don't think WPL are going to complain about any traffic funnelled towards their official store and as a consequence their sister store. 👍

I'm currently editing my unboxing of the Beetle Bug and towards the end, I compare its size a bit, compared to a Fastlane 1/16 Challenger and a WPL C24, it's quite brief, perhaps it may help. 🙂
