It's a niche technology. Even 3D printing lost a lot of hype as people thought it was a star trek replicator

Agree with the OP re. "talk about". After the first few uses it just sounds rude and disrespectful
I think DED can go ahead of powders 3D printers IF. If add CNC in tandem with the DED.
