Just got my first crawler. Traxxas Trx-4m. Enjoyed this series starting from your Bronco build. What are the different build options for this platform? Looking for a hybrid crawler/trail build with more focus on backyard obstacles and difficult lines.
@@hyperc5249 Thanks for the info. For the Tarantula build, besides the chasis kit, are the other parts that you choose for a specific build or are you using just the latest upgraded parts that come out?
@@hyperc5249 Technically it's a double cardan joint or double u-joint. This makes it more of a constant velocity so you don't get the speed up / slow down that the regular joint has when turned. The more you turn, the worst it gets on the stock axle. Does it matter? I don't know, but with the reduced hang-ups, extra 5mm of width, weight and other features are nice. Options are nice... :)
.400 is about 15.7 mm wider. I know!!! I'm going to look at some skinnier tires and switch out the negative offset wheels. But for just having fun, the extra wide setup is ridiculously good.
Not sure how I feel about them. I don’t think the trx4m really needs the double jointed cvds. The stock style axle gets more than enough steering angle and with od/if you can bump it up. Also you honestly can’t use it all on anything other than an open buggy/ not a car rc chassis. Also increased scrub is a thing. I do want to ask. Do these have clockable hubs for caster adjustment? I’ve been waiting for somebody to make a straight axle with that adjustment ability.
Anytime you don't have to reverse on a comp, it is always beneficial. Plus, they lower the LCG. Again, it's my opinion and they may not be for everybody. But these will definitely be staying on my comp rig. Same old argument between straight and portals. That's what make comps fun. Different kinds of setups and may the best rig win.

@@danh5194 Injora diamond axles, brass weight up front, injora 1.0 wheels, DJCrawler or lgrp tires.
what does it mean? the isokinetic ?😅
These have a universal joint in them. So, that when they are at full turning radius, it doesn't bind up.

Which diff gears fit them? Can I use the Injora helical in them?
I will let you know.
Awesome review! How much wider are they than the stock axles in mm? I want to keep it is narrow as possible for comps?
